Nice small museum but packs in a lot of information. If you are visiting the castle then I would say the museum is a definite worthwhile add on. It is run by volunteers and personally I think it is important to support these types of museums as they do struggle with funding. It's good value for money at just £5 per adult. There are some interactive elements for kids, such as building things and a few other activities so they can all benefit from a visit. It amazes me that some of THE richest landowners in the UK...in this instance...The Duke of Norfolk, have their names emblazoned on plaques throughout this tiny museum, but rely on public donations to keep it running with the aid of volunteers?
