Off to an odd start as we weren’t given a score card until we asked. We then got the most bizarre response of any crazy golf course when we asked for a pencil for the score card “Alright but I want it back as it’s the last one”
Sadly the inital delight of seeing that the course of 9 holes were really challengingly long, often multi-level holes was soon overtaken by discovering the disrepair of some of the holes not only looked tatty, but actually and critically affected the game. Just by hole 3 we’d lost one of the balls under a very heavy canon balanced on a rickety wooden elevation and we did not feel safe putting our hands under the structure to relocate the trapped ball.
We walked to the golf kiosk to ask for a replacement ball only to find the window closed and the booth empty. After waiting 5 mins, still no sign of the staff. The cafe chap said “he’s probably gone to the toilet”
We returned to our game, having lost 5 mins waiting for the booth staff and continued to play with just one ball. This sort of worked but was inconvenient- then hole 7 captured our remaining ball on a surface covered in leaves and twigs etc beneath a grate. We went back to the booth as we had no golf balls left to carry on with. We were given two golf balls but were told “you’ll ‘ave to ‘urry up. It closes at 4pm and it’s 4pm now. “
We completed holes 7,8 and 9 but with a feeling of stressed “let’s just go, we’re not welcome...

Could be really good with a bit of work and expansion, but maintenance needs some TLC in places and plant leaves constantly get in the way. Needs some flat ground/tee boxes from which to hit the first shot - the start of some holes is a steep downslope. On a lot of holes, the first shot is impossible to get through the ramp/tunnel to the next section so you have to lay up anyway - this could be avoided with a bit of redesign. Price was fine for...

A variety of pirate/seafaring related obsticales kept us all engaged. £15 for family of 4 is not cheap but good value for almost an hour entertainment. Don't go late as it...
