The Bridge Café — Restaurant in Ashford

Such a shame was expecting something fantastic. I ordered the lasagne sadly what I got wasn't lasagne. I have attached photos of how it arrived. I have not removed a beautiful lasagne topping as you would expect there simply wasn't one. Nor have I mixed it up its genuinely how it arrived. It wasn't sheets of lasagne, mince and beshmal sauce topped with melted cheese. It was simply mushed up pasta sheets and mince with burnt corners and hard over done bits of pasta. It was just about edible but a massive shame not particularly the most flavoursome either. It was very basic. I was expecting a lot more in terms of presentation and quality the reviews I've seen have heard fantastic things about this place but this was a massive disappointment.

I never leave negative feedback and this isn't. It's simply an honest review of what I was given. It would be great to see the feedback taken on board and a genuine lasagne being introduced...

I Run a bike Group called FatDadz Bikerz based in Essex. Stumbled across this saving cafe last minute on our ride out to the kent country side. Staff are absolutely amazing, very accommodating, brought out extra seating and made us feel very welcome. The food was fresh and lovely..."best cheese on toast i ever had" facilities very clean and the smiles very wide. Highly recommend to anyone wanting good quality cafe grub at very reasonable prices. We will be back for sure. Everyone loved it. What a find! Can't fault this place at all. Even had photos taken of our bikes outside, very proud moment! See you soon...

Very slow , very under staffed !!! , seemed to be the same sort of set up as the cafe over by the catch fish and chip shop . But only one cooking one serving, and making the tea and coffees doing the till and cleaning tables and serving take outs , 45mins we waited to be served , the poor girl who did serve us kept saying sorry for the wait , then pop another waitress came in , bit late as the poor girl had done a busy run , when the breakfast did arrive it was very nice , shame no bubble on the menu only...
