The Malls, Basingstoke — Attraction in Basingstoke and Deane

Easy to enter Festival Place car park with the wave of a hand, no need to press the button. Also, finding a space is easy too as they have the green light above a free space and red if its taken. There are so many places to stop and take a Christmas selfie - I particularly liked the "two turtle doves" with the music playing as you sat down. Loads of shops all the usual names inside the Mall like M&S, H&M and TKMaxx, but also some food places like Iceland. You can walk around outside and don't need to worry too much about getting wet if it rains because most of the outside adjacent is under cover. There's also festive good stalls and sellers too. Great variety of shops ranging from Tesco, Wilkinson’s and Primark to various shoe shops, clothing outlets and hardware & electronics. There are always various stalls outside where you can obtain that “something different”. At Christmas the stalls are changed to quaint wooden buildings resembling something from Santa’s grotto. These stalls offer everything from wooden items, to garden decorations. There is always a few stalls all times of the year that offer something with “personalisation” from name plaques to personal photos transferred to a variety of different media. This is wihtout doubt my favourite shopping centre, and coming from a bloke that is saying something. There is such a wide range of shops, especially for a geek and avid reader like me. The extra stalls placed wihtin the walkways and the festive stalls and food available in the outdoor part of the mall is always a great place to be. The car park is huge, I think its an amalgamation of a few car parks, but its seemless. The car park fees are cheap compared to others I have been to. I not travelling by car the rail station is also just across the road from one of the malls entrances.
