We went on the Giants Causeway Tour and we really enjoyed it. We received clear pickup instructions from the company and were checked in promptly and allocated to a coach.
The tour went along that Causeway Coastal route and stopped at a number of locations - castles and caves etc. The main attraction was obviously the Giants Causeway and we had a good amount of time here. We walked down from the drop off location to the stones, spent a good amount of time there and managed to complete one of the walking routes before having enough time to enjoy a drink at The Nook Pub.
Our driver and guide was Stephan and he did a great job. He was very knowledgeable and informative throughout the trip.
We would book with this company again and do recommend the trip we took, we had a great time.
I think the only negative for us was the lunch arrangements. We don’t recall any information in the trip description and basically there was only one pub in the location we were stopping which had a limited set menu you could pre-order from. This suited some but it was not ideal if you didn’t want a big meal or had dietary requirements. We were advised of an Spar shop that was On the route which had sandwiches etc. but this was limited. Had we realised this we would probably have brought...
Read moreMy wife and I travelled from Australia to visit Ireland prior to heading over to Scotland. One of our destinations was the Giants Causeway. We paid for a walking tour and we were guided by a local named Keith. (Remember his name) from the first step to the last he kept us laughing and kept us engaged with his awesome knowledge of plant life (that is a tree and that is a different tree). It was an absolute pleasure to be guided by Keith and I only wish there were more guides like him about. I might even have to convince him to move to my home town of Northern Queensland (Townsville). This is a must see attraction, there is a small fee to enter (car parking) you have a choice of walk alone with no guide, a self guide (walk around with a device like a phone that has recordings along the way or be guided by amazing...
Read moreGiants Causeway is a terrific Irish nature spot that combines cliffs, rocks and the seas. The Cliffs of Moher are more dramatic and imposing but the Giants Causeway is more accessible from above the cliffs right down to the sea. The trail has been intelligently constructed to allow people of all abilities to access the beauty of this place with even a bus taking people from the visitor center right down to the rocks. Recommend starting on the Red trail that lead to steps that bring you down. Much easier to climb down than climb up. You can easily spend several hours here and have a picnic. Recommend bringing hats and gloves as the wind can have a bite. Overall a very scenic spot that is truly an...
