Totally worth it. Make time to visit it as this grand piece of history is more concrete in providing a feel of a ship of the Titanic era than the main building. Our kid had fun following the trail of rooms and searching for characters. We are a traveling family originating from Colorado, so we had been to Molly Brown’s house in Denver. She was featured here amongst other passengers, and the staff member (Gayle, who took us under her wing for the visit!) knew a lot about her also. Make sure you ring the bell and press the button to interact with the holograms on board. The ship itself has a fascinating and diverse history, and is the only remaining White Star Line boat that exists. We spent about 1.5 hours here, which includes looking around inside the ship and outside at the surrounding plaques and art around the dry dock. The ticket is included with the Titanic Belfast ticket so make sure you use it! To do so, you will need a FULL day at the site to see everything. Don’t miss the tall vertical sculpture about a 2 minute walk away towards the marina. It’s a very clever piece of art once you recognize what it is!

Nomadic is the last surviving White Star Line ship and we are so lucky for her to be back in Belfast and restored to her full glory. She was very very close to being scrapped! She served as a tender alongside Traffic to the large ships such as Titanic (and many more) and has a long and impressive history of her own. As was custom at the time in the early 1900s, the class divide is never more clear than on Nomadic. Exuberant splendour for first class on their journey to their ship down to metal, cold and industrial style spaces for third class. Visiting Nomadic, a stones throw from Titanic Belfast, is a must and really adds to the experience of stepping back in time to when the giant ocean liners were being built and serving in the Atlantic and around the world. See my review of Titanic Belfast for more details.

Why would you not like this little ship? The 1st and 2nd class tender to the Titanic (once) working out of Cherbourg. To touch something built at virtually the same time as Titanic out of iron and steel from the same steel and iron supplier, amazing. Then to sit were JJ Astor might have sat, god it doesn't bear thinking about. I'm disabled and I could get virtually everywhere on board because they have a lift. There were steps up to the top most deck but with time I climbed them too. Nice attention to details with its renovation and the displays and information were superb. To finish my review I would like add that the staff onboard were friendly and very helpful. 10 out of 10 from me, extremely well done.

Stepping onboard is like youre stepping on to Titanic herself. Build using the same steel and rivets, by the same hands in the same shipyard. She's been meticulously restored to her former glory and she is beautiful. She is the ONLY surviving White Star ship in existence. Not only did she ferry passengers to Titanic, she also did the same for her sister ship, Olympic, ferrying the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Elizabeth Taylor to name but a few. If you're facinated by all things Titanic, and you're visiting the Experience, PLEASE do yourself a favour and make sure you pay the little bit extra and visit the Nomadic too. You won't regret it.

The SS Nomadic is the only surviving tender from the White Star Line, the company that operated the RMS Titanic. It is located in a dry Dock, in front of the Titanic Experience building. It was launched on the 25th April 1911 in Belfast. She was built to transfer passingers and mail from the RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic. It was restored and opened to the public on 31st May 2013. If you are in the Belfast Titanic Quarter, buy a ticket and visit the SS Nomadic. It's a great boat to visit. You can see how boats were kitted out at the turn of the last century, and also its historical importance.

Visiting the SS Nomadic was an extraordinary experience! This beautifully restored tender ship, often referred to as the "Titanic's little sister," offers a captivating journey back in time. The interactive exhibits and knowledgeable guides bring the ship's rich history to life, from its role in transporting passengers to the Titanic to its varied career afterwards. Walking through the elegant first-class areas and the more modest third-class quarters provides a unique perspective on early 20th-century maritime travel. A must-visit for history buffs and Titanic enthusiasts alike!
