I have been calling in here once a week for the last few weeks. Each time it is not busy and plenty of staff yet tables arent cleaned or floors brushed. Then today when I arrived after 5, one of the staff was sectioning off the main part of the Subway to clean. All chairs on tables and high stools blocking access. I thought maybe they were closing early. They werent. Cant believe that the cleaning was taking place at this time when surely that is one of the peak times. The cleaning operation wasnt complete by the time I left. Still closed off so only 3 tables available. The brushing wasnt very thorough. I waited to see if the chairs would then be put back down and tables recleaned but this didnt happen whilst i was there. Maybe staff need to use their initiative more. Clean as they go and mopping etc at quieter times for minimal disruption. I can understand standards slipping at busier times but by keeping on top of things at quieter times, there wouldnt be so many crumbs accumulating and tables would be clean for next customers. Definitely dont feel welcome if part of the place is zoned off as if closing...
Read moreExtremely rude personnel. I ordered on the kiosk a fountain drink that states dispensed drink. At fountain only carbonated drinks are available. I ask to exchange for a bottle and the staff scream at us that is not possible and it was our fault. I ask if I can pay the upcharge and they scream that it's not possible and that it was not their mistake we should have checked at the fountain before hand. Extremely unprofessional way of handling the situation and when I ask to speak to a manager they again shout that it's pointless arguing and that many people order on the kiosk without issue and that I am the only one with this problem. They claim it says on the kiosk that it says only carbonated at fountain I double checked after this insane interaction and this was simply a lie. Read moreVisited subway store today 22.08. Queue was long and staff weere not efficient. I was left waiting whilst the person who was suppose to be serving me went to her colleague and decided to talk about another customer who had just left the store. Not ideal when the queue is long and my sandwich was getting cold.
Furthermore when the staff member returned another sandwich had been set Infront of my sandwich for the customer behind. The staff member proceeded to ask them what salad they wanted, even though I was ahead of them.
This service is absolutely shocking, nevermind it being an area which has a high tourist footfall with tourism being something we are trying to promote in this country.
Has any training even been given to staff on how to act around customers? I will not be back to this...
