Had a phone call from harbour master asking us to clean the harbour facilities which we agreed . Was reluctant to take this on as was putting down previous cleaners. But now realise why did nearly 3 months without a day off at 530 am starts . After emails of praise then to blow cold and say floor was dirty was litually on our hands n knees scrubbing with the harbour master putting us down on our work in front of guests using facilities. Im 46 years old and myself and my team feel in our personal opionions would warn anybody to working at these facilities. Then we didn't even get money owed us mounting to over 200 pounds was asked to agree to 200 or we'd get nothing . This is my personal honest opinion do not work for...
Read moreIf you like visiting places that prove conclusively that the British seaside is dreadful come here for a weekend break. The harbour is inaccessible 2 hours either side of low water and it stinks. There's no where good to go for dinner or drinks, and the water taxi is sporadic at best... although more reliable than getting an actual taxi around there. We had to wait an hour to get to our hotel... that was like a harmless fawlty...
Read moreA very pretty harbour. It's a working fishing port as well as a destination for visiting yachtsmen and has 2 busy sailing clubs. There are houseboats around one side and lots of moorings in the middle for small craft that dry out at low tide. If you're interested in sailing in you have to check the tides carefully.
