Attended for Father's day, didn't book, but was seated immediately, service excellent, choice on the menu brilliant, if indisicive you might be a while because everything sounds so very good. We ordered the steak and ale pie, Massaman Lamb curry, and kids smash burger, my partners steak and ale pie was absolutely amazing, perfectly slow cooked meat in nice ale gravy, double dipped chips, side of gravy and braised veg, she was very happy, it's one of the Venues best dishes. Because it is Father's day, I wanted to try something different, opted for Massaman Lamb curry, with garlic naan bread, honestly was stunned meat was perfectly cooked on the bone falling apart, while in the past I've had Massaman currys that have a creamier sauce and are focused on coconut, this one was more like a Lamb Jalfrezi with potatoes, however, it did not disapoint, good balance of spice, and absolutely plenty on my dish, see images, the garlic naan was very nice with slight mint, garlic and char taste. I have not been in The Venue for good while, some other reviews saying its hit and miss, it was definitely a hit today especially considering its Father's day and its very busy, keep up the good work, and pride in the food and service. My only negative would be on the drinks, very expensive, Β£6.00 for a bottle of Old Mout, Β£4.90 a pint of Wainwright, Half a Lemonade Β£2.85 ( refuse to tip when the prices are inflated ) Was tempted to remove a star for this, but it's Father's day, and they did so well on everything else.

Decided on a typical North of England winter's evening to venture out and have a traditional fish 🐟 and Chip's 🍟 at "The Venue" What a great decision. The bar 🍻 and grill is bright, open plan with a pleasing modern feel. We were able to reserve a table through Ben who from start to finish made our experience very special. We ordered coffees β˜•οΈ while waiting for for our main meal. The fish 🐟 chips 🍟 and mushy peas were cooked to perfection πŸ’― Big chunky crispy chips 🍟 and what I can only describe as a specimen sized crispy battered 🐟 The separate large bowl with mushy peas was a pleasing addition as it allowed for the dipping of chips 🍟 and fork fulls of fish 🐟 πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The menu is extensive and will cater for everyone's dietary requirements. Every dish we saw being delivered to eagerly waiting customer's looked delicious πŸ˜‹ The bar serves a variety of beers 🍻 wine 🍷 and spirits πŸ‘» The Venue also caters and specialises in private parties πŸ»πŸΈπŸŽ‰ engagements, birthdays πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽ and especially weddings πŸ‘©πŸ’πŸ‘¨πŸ’ I would like to applaud the owner and staff for providing a fantastic "Venue" for not only local people but also for those wanting to book the it for a special occasion. A special thanks to Ben and the rest of the staff for making our experience so special, memorable and so enjoyable πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Dog friendly. Went in on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon lunchtime. Pub/restaurant was fairly quiet, we were able to be seated straight away in a dog friendly section. Pub was warm and friendly, it was very spacious and bright made it feel very welcoming.. The staff are very attentive and there were plenty of them should you need someone. As it was Sunday we had a 2 course Roast with extras. The 2 piece was Β£24 and is well worthwhile. Portion size is about right, we finished our and we were on the fuller side of comfortable. Veg was very fresh and well done, meat was done perfectly and the accompanying extras were lovely too. We had a pudding, chocolate orange tart and a bread and butter pudding. Again these were lovely with the orange sorbet being the stand out. Most importantly, it's dog friendly. Our pup had her own lunch menu and had a chicken breast. She did share some of our veg. I'm glad we tried Venue, we will be happily coming back. To note, they have an extensive non alcoholic menu for those driving. I won't feel left out next time we go out and I'm driving.

So today me and my friend went here for food. We ordered a couple of drinks which were put on our tab. We then ordered food and the guy at the ordering counter ( not the bar) said to us, "we will leave the tab open for you" we said thanks. After our food we then decided to order another drink at the bar and sit outside. My friend said " we will pay at the counter before we go out". We walked a few feet away from the bar and one of the young girls screamed at us " you haven't paid" in front of everyone!! Me and my friend were so taken a back. So we said to the girls " we was paying at the counter like we was told" she then proceeded to talk over us and said to us, " you should not go outside without paying"!

My friend told her that there was no need to be rude to which she replied, " it's not my fault if you're embarrassed" me and my friend was mortified and I told the young girl that I should be speaking to the manger for her poor customer service. She thought this was highly amusing and just said " I'll go and get him". She came out with the manager sniggering and he come to the bar still chewing food. I asked him to come away from the bar so we could talk. Basically he seemed dis interested and did not care that me and my friend had been made to feel like we was going to run out of the building with two small bottles of Prosecco!!! I'm appalled and disappointed in the lack of Customer support and also the fact that if the young girl thought we should have paid at the bar then she should have spoke to us privately and in a way you speak to Normal human beings. Will not be returning and I will be...

Phenomenal friendly service, food and atmosphere especially if you want to go in to the far bar and restaurant (from the enterence)with your dog, yes dogs, they even have their own doggy menu on offer, including chicken, sausages and more, mega reasonable prices for them. Me and the girlfriend popped in for a drink and meal as well as the dog of course, and drinks after a nice walk on the promenade. Extremely very friendly atmosphere and ambiance, and the wonderful courteous and friendly staff, the food was fantastic. We can recommend the Specialty German Lager they serve there, it goes down like amber nectar it was that nice so we definitely had a other 1 it was that nice. We loved the extra customer service we received and other tables if our food was alright with us and if we required any sauces and if our meals were ok for us and the dog, yes the dog, we replied definitely a big yes😊😊😊😊. Also loved the staff maki7a big fuss of all the dogs in there with us all we counted 5, all well behaved, and giving them a good cuddle and stroke, and pat, she was like putty in her hands, they also give all the dogs fresh water in bowls to drink, and biscuit treats and gravy bones. A must place on the Fylde Coast for atmosphere, friendly and impeccable service with a smile and nothing is too much trouble, and Phenomenally doggy friendly your best place to come for miles. We will be back time and...
