Arnos Vale Cemetary was where my wife and I decided to get married on the 27th of July 2023. The team were fabulous. Our inital meeting was with Buffy who put us right at ease and answered all of the questions that we had (as we really had no idea where to start). But what we did know is that we wanted an outdoors woodland wedding so this definitely fit the bill.
Some time over the past year, Sam has taken over the role as wedding co-ordinator, along with Sophie who are two of the most lovely human beings it has been my pleasure to work with. Right from the off they were very approachable and re-answered some of the questions that we forgot about as a year doesn't seem like a long time but it really is when all the final meetings start to come around.
On the day itself, we decided to book out all 3 venues, the underwood for the ceremony, the anglican chappel for food and the spielman center for the reception which just made the whole day flow quite nicely. The Arnos Vale team set up the underwood so that the chairs were out in the morning, and we came in and decorated it with some vine that we purchased from the grounds keepers. We worked with a "preferred supplier" for the food which was Epic Caterers and we had the wine delivered the day before and the day could not have gone more smooth. I even developed a stomach ache part way through the day and the team went above and beyond ferrying me mint teas to settle my stomach which was lovely.
Communication was amazing and I don't think we could have picked a better team to work with to make our day as amazing as it was.
The only warning I would give is that if you are having any guests at your wedding with mobility issues, and your ceremony is at the underwood center, I would highly recommend that they get dropped off at the top gates as the hill is quite challenging even when you aren't in a wheel chair.
Regardless, our day was incredible and I would have no trouble recommending Arnos Vale to any future couple.
Thank you...

Read moreThere can't be many cemeteries with a cafe, gift shop and 45 acres of land to explore. Arnos Vale is truly spectacular, particularly in spring but whatever the weather, the mood will take you. If you're looking for a bit of peace, or just a nice walk, then head here, you'll not regret it. There's plenty of bird life such as robins, thrushes and woodpeckers and if you're lucky you might spot a fox. Plenty of flora to go with the fauna, if you're a photographer then take your camera, lots to shoot when the light is good. Atrium Cafe does some hot food as well as the usual cafe treats, plenty of seating. They had one of the Gromits on one visit I made and there are often events going on such as bat walks and yoga. There are some monumental tombs as well, plenty of history and a wealth of information so you know what you're looking at it. Up there with SS Great Britain but for very...
