This place looks really nice but it is a bit far from anywhere else that's nice, it's not great for like a drinking day out unless you've got everything you wanted with you already, it is right by busy roads so there is a lot of traffic sound that you can't really get away from. I loved my last visit but I found a 4 leafed clover in a couple minutes, the clovers are really big I do like the field there but it shouldn't be trampled. Whatever reason might bring you there would probably work for Arno's park as well which is bigger, quieter and more potential for sun and Sainsbury's is more accessible. Never really have a reason to stay in the park long and I never even see anybody else, only people walking around or cycling through. Also the bridge there shakes so much don't go on it if you have a fear of bridges or poor balance, I don't feel very good walking on it but if you make it you should be treated to a beautiful bit of graffiti on a building the other side of the...
Read moreA large open space, like a field, surrounded by tall mature trees. It is not very well kept or maintained. There is a lot of over-growth that is never trimmed or cut back. There is a huge infestation of bind weed and brambles. Some paths are never cleared and it has been left to local residents to deal with. There is the remains of a partly collapsed to the west side which is fenced off for safety reasons and is a reminder to all of just how neglected this"park" is. There is very limited access from the road to the north west and none at all from the north east. The only other means of access is via the Avon Riverside path. The space is mostly used as a dog toilet by the many, many dog owners in the area. Not recommended...
Read moreNice "hidden" park of Bristol, leading to St.Philip's river walk. There's a beautiful open green space surrounded by tree-lined walking trails, a wall covered in cool graffiti paintings and a bridge crossing the river (currently under maintenance). In general, probably because of being out-of-the-way, it's a bit unkempt compared to other parks of Bristol, and the vegetation is quite wild. Hopefully with some works and a few improvements it will reach the other city parks's standard. A play area...
