This is one of my favourite places to visit in Bristol. The staff and volunteers are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The cafe is good value with a great range of food and drinks.
We have just visited again during Harbour Fest and it is much more low key at this end of the harbour. A great place to sit with a coffee/cider (or whatever floats your boat) and watch the comings and goings of the harbour.
We also like to come here in the colder months and we all enjoy a walk around the harbour with a stop in Underfall yard for a coffee and the kids like to use the interactive exhibits.

In good weather it's one of Bristols...

Just a short walk along from Brunel's SS Great Britain there are a number of unique features including the pumping station and winch for hauling boats out of the water for repairs. There is a small but well presented display about the history of the yard and an excellent cafe. There are several very good pubs nearby too, especially the Nova Scotia. After lunch, why not walk along to the modern swing bridge - an amazing piece of architecture in itself - and see if you can find Brunel's...
