Vasey style store (Carlisle) Ltd — Attraction in Carlisle

We have just purchased a dining table and chairs for our new home from Vasey's and the service we received from start to finish was just amazing. The team in the store were extremely helpful. We went in on a Monday morning and the staff were excellent, moving chairs and benches up and down the shop floor so we were able to pick out the perfect match for our home. Upon our purchase the staff were really informative about the estimated delivery times and even contacted suppliers for delivery dates while we picked out our furniture. The home delivery team were so smart and professional handling our new furniture with the upmost of care. The furniture was going in the house not far from the door on a solid floor however the delivery team still went to the effort of putting sheets down to protect floor whilst in and out. The two men that came in were quick and efficient at installing the table and chairs whilst still having time for friendly chat. We are over the moon with the furniture we have received and the customer experience dealing with the whole team at Vasey's has been brilliant.

On a side note when we were in store one of the delivery team was on the shop floor replacing a damaged draw for a costumer before they had even got the furniture to the property. This level of service is not something you find...

Visited this store this week and was delighted with my purchase especially as I was able to buy off the floor and take home rather than wait 6-8 weeks. The salesman in bedding was extremely helpful and pleasant. However my delight soon turned to frustration and annoyance when I saw the state of my boots and trousers, covered in a large amount of grey dust which the sales person explained it was from the carpet which seems to be ‘perishing’ as we walked on it. On arrival home (some 30miles away) I unloaded the chest of drawers to find the boot also covered in the static grey particles. On examination of the interior of the driver and passenger area and even the dashboard it was so bad from our shoes and clothes that I had no option but to have the car internally valeted as well as washing my boots and laundering my trousers! The inconvenience and cost incurred will certainly deter me from a future visit until the problem is resolved. ...

Very disappointed. I have visited several times over the years and made purchases but have always found I have had to go look for a member of staff, they have not come to me. My mum and I went the other day as we knew the store had been renovated and I needed a few new items of furniture, we walked past several members of staff, some even looked like owners/managers and not one of them spoke to us as it seemed they were all too interested in talking to each other. Having our own business I think it's vitally important to acknowledge every customer who walks through the door and ask them if they require any help. Customers keep you in business and in a job, what a shame for a long standing local company to let themselves down by such a simple but very important rule of business.
