Lilian Bland Community Park — Attraction in Carnmoney

Lillian Bland has been recently refurbished. The play park has lots of great play equipment. A new addition is the mobile coffee van 'Pablos' which accepts contactless payment ...bonus! One MAJOR downside is the state of the toilets in the pavillion. Due to Covid only one toilet is available and with the amount of teenagers etc hanging about the park the state of the toilet can be pretty grim. During the recent Bank Holiday weekend there was no toilet roll, no soap and no hand sanitizer...very disappointing esp for a new park full of young...

You're walking around Glengormley and you're bored. What is there to do? You want a to scale model of The Mayfly, the first plane to be designed and built by a woman? It's here, in Lilian Bland Community Park. You want a football pitch? We got you. You want doggos? They have them here too* Tennis court? Check! War memorials? Check! Play park? You know it Three Pokémon Go gyms and three Pokéstops? I choose you!

The new playpark is very impressive and a great homage to Lilian Bland, well done to all involved.

But, what happened to the lights? It's pitch black and somewhat threatening at night. Hopefully this is still a work in progress and will be rectified soon.
