Sharing a horrible experience hoping that no one would be treated in this manner by the staff at this train station. Screaming at anyone in public is not to be tolerated in any circumstances; further more if you are in the service industry. The crowd was massive today at the station. My family and I were in the queue when the 17:00 train arrived from Bicester Village to Marylebone Station in London. We were then waved to move over to another carriage by a female staff. We ran over to the carriage and tried to board the train. While trying to do so, that female staff started screaming at us at the top of her lungs that we would not fit into the train. We were confused at that moment because she was the one to wave us over and then screaming at us to get off. Anyway, we got off and what was so wrong was that she continued screaming at us. I told her that there was absolutely no need at all to raise her voice at us. While screaming back at me, she said she did not raise her voice! How bizarre is that! She of course continued to scream until my husband asked her for her name. Shortly, her colleague walked over and apologised to us for what had happened. This was a totally unpleasant experience as a visitor. I sincerely do hope that the management would look into...
Read moreThis is a review about the railway station and not the outlet mall. Station is served by trains between Oxford and London Marylebone. The station is modern and has lifts between the 2 platforms. If coming from Oxford there are two exits one for the shopping centre and the other for the town. This platform has had some money spent on it and has six proper benches whereas the opposite platform simply has a bus shelter. If arriving from London, you will need to navigate steps or use lifts.
If visiting shopping centre, signage is great and there are no steps. Announcements for the station and at the station are in a number of languages (including Chinese) but for everywhere else it's only in English even if heading to the tourist centre of Oxford! There is plenty of car parking for the station and you can pay using...
Read moreUnacceptable service. Serious training needed here. E Tickets are an accepted method of transport and the QR codes provided on E ticket attachements allow you to scan and travel. Including booking for third party travellers. The station staff refused to accept the E tickets i had. I have always used these to travel around and always scanned my way through. Never have i ever encountered a problem. The staff claimed that the downloaded ticket with the QR code was not a ticket. This is simply untrue and it was a perfectly valid ticket to travel on. They claimed it needed to be on the app only. However it clearly states on the tickets, you can scan the downloaded ticket attachments or use them via the app (if you have an account!). TRAIN YOUR STAFF! I will be getting compensation for being made to buy a new ticket...
