The problem with that place is the working environment. The broken working environment is obvious. I remember when it was a happy place like 8-10 years ago. Most of staff maintain forced smiles, but can't wait till their shifts are over to run away as quickly as possible. Managent thinks that customers don't care, that they care about getting drinks and food as quick as possible only. But lots of customers do care. Food can be good, but doesn't taste good when there is a "dark cloud" hoovering above everyone working there and obviously affecting their moods. Spend there 30 minutes and you will walk away with a bad moods not knowing why. Forced politeness, negative working environment and the general carelessness starting from the top and affecting everyone on the bottom are the problem. I know that that place get very busy some days of the year and make everyone working there very stressful, but they keep failing only because they don't have a happy working environment in first place. On the other hand I wish they would bring back the Pret classic soups like carrot & coriander, ham & pea, cream of chicken (with a real cream) and mushroom rissoto. Everyone is tired of tomato soup, because it is served pretty much everywhere and versions of it don't...
Read moreThere were six of us including an elderly wheelchair user and we saw that there was no easy route through to an available table at the back because they had rammed in so many chairs and tables. Another wheelchair user already at a table moved aside for us to get through and as we were walking through a rude member of staff blocked our path with a small table and tray so she could clear a table. I said do you mind and she clearly ignored us so I moved the table myself and went back to the wheelchair. I then had to ask another person to move their chair so we could get through to our (dirty) table.
The food is also extremely expensive- £8.65 to have in a chicken caesar baguette as well as other similarly priced sandwiches. As it is the only lunch time venue there Pret clearly thinks they have a monopoly and can charge whatever they want.
Not wheelchair friendly, rude staff who do not care about wheelchairs, dirty tables and...
Read moreI have almost finished recovering from my server food poisoning from Pret in Bicester Village. On Sunday, December the 15th 2019, I went to pret at around 10:30am and purchased a cheese sandwich, I started eating it but noiced a horrible after taste and the cheese in the sandwich felt old. I only ate half and threw away the rest. At 3pm I started feeling horrible pains in my stomach and the urge to be sick. 3:30pm I threw up twice and around 4pm i fainted and completely blacked out and then Bicester village security called an ambulance and I was rushed to hospital and spent overnight there. I have been constantly throwing up and sick and have never felt worse in my life. That sandwich was the only thing I ate on the 15th and i had nothing else. I haven't been eating for days now since this has happened. The food hygiene is not taken seriously at Pret and I am very disgusted and disappointed. I will certainly be taking...
