Me and my husband love to look around antique stores to see if we can find any goodies Which we did BUT unfortunately we didn’t appreciate being watched constantly by the lady. We must look like thieves or something as no body else was being watched! Because we wasn’t old and wearing tweed jackets we must look like peasants to them. Well we are not! We ended up buying a some good bits for my dad’s birthday. As we started paying at the till the nice man was serving us but then a very rude abrupt man wearing a hat approached us and started taking over and again treating us like we were peasants! Worker’s definitely need to work on their customer service and learn to not judge a book...
Read moreI love this place. Come in each year when on holiday. Last year I saw a book, which I didn't buy, but regretted it. Back at our holiday destination I decided I really wanted the book. Contacted the Petworth Antiques Market to ask if the trader had an online presence. The manager came back and said they didn't, but, without asking, he put the book aside for a few days for me, if I should decide to call back. I did and am delighted with my book! Will be back...
