Dinner for 6. Everyone ordered different food in the menu. I had squid for starters and it was very salty. I asked for sea bream with chips instead of potatoes. It came with potatoes and chips bowl at the side. I told the male waiter my requested food and he came back with ONLY a sea bream on a plate. NO LEMON, no dressing, not even a sprinkle of anything. He should have explained that the potatoes were all mixed with veg that they cld not be separated. What’s more he rolled his eyes when I tried to make it right. Requested English mustard didn’t get to the table either. Other than these incidents, all other food were delicious and friendly ladies staff. Food presentation need to be improved.

We had a brilliant 2 nights at the Angel Inn for my birthday. We stayed in the Scots Pine room which was so comfortable and beautiful too. Really thoughtful touches like nice teas and locally made biscuits. The breakfasts were great, we had the veggie and non veggie full english, one morning it was sunny enough to enjoy in the pub garden. We also enjoyed an evening meal, which was really good quality - we appreciate that the menu lists where certain ingredients are sourced from, there is lots of attention to detail and it showed in the food. The service is very friendly. The Inn is in the perfect location. Couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to stay again!

We took our big young dog for a first time away from home. Where we would we go but a place called Petworth? It's a lovely town. It Great for a short walking holiday with some excellent places to eat and be merry in the evening. None more so than the incredibly friendly and welcoming Angel Inn. A lovely building, prettily presented by a team of lovely people. They fell over themselves to make us and particularly our pooch Louie feel right at home. In the bar after a lovely evening meal, there wasn't a guest or local who didn't want to say hi and meet our mutt. A lovely time. Will go back no doubt. Hopefully we'll get Louie off the bed this time.

Bloody marvellous! We stopped in here for lunch after visiting Petworth House and we’re not disappointed. We had been here years ago after a hot air balloon ride and has we had very happy memories of that time we thought we would revisit. I love a Sunday roast and I opted for the Roast Pork, Gill chose the beef, both were delicious. The service was great, true hospitality with a well trained and very well presented team. After a 7 week trip where we have eaten out most days the team The Angel were by far the best of all the places that we visited. We will definitely be back next time we are in the UK, great work guys, thank you.

The Angel is wonderfully located and the atmosphere is great. The staff are lovely and it has a really authentic, rustic feel which makes it hard not to have a good evening/ lunch. The food, however, is just decent. Six of us had dinner recently, starters and mains - a couple of the dishes were excellent most were fine and a couple were not great. Seems like you're playing pot luck with the menu a little bit which is a bit of a shame. Still I reckon if you go with the specials that day or ask for recommendations from the staff you'd be onto a winner.

The Angel Inn have invested heavily to make the outdoor eating and drinking experience as comfortable as possible, with a huge stretched marquee top/awning and heaters near each table under the awning. I enjoyed the best fish and chips I’ve eaten at a pub in the past few years, and found the staff to be very pleasant and friendly. There were a couple of local ales on tap including the Angel Ale. Service was very quick and efficient but we didn’t feel under pressure at any point and enjoyed a slow meal and a couple of drinks.
