Go Ape Crawley — Attraction in Crawley

First time at any GoApe location. Took the whole family and was very impressed. We did the tree top adventure as we have kids aged between 5 and 12. The older two were able to understand and navigate the course well on their own without any supervision. The 8 year old needed a little help to begin with but then gained confidence and was working through it well on her own. The 5 year old was a little nervous but as we completed the first course he then managed to do most of it on his own. The staff here were really helpful, very polite and excellent with kids. My 5 year old was scared of going down the zipline at the end of the course and started crying but the well trained and empathetic staff helped and within a minute had the wee one flying down the zipline. Reasonable price for an hour of fun and a really great location. Car parking is £5.50 for the full day. We booked our GoApe session for 4pm but arrived just after midday and had a picnic, played some football, cricket, badminton, went for a walk and had some ice cream before our GoApe session. Went the other day with my girlfriend and was absolutely brilliant! Courses were challenging and great fun! Was no one around so just my self and GF for the whole course which was good. Tree tops consisted of 5 courses every one of them excellent! For £33 each I cant argue the price.

One MAJOUR floor however was the lack of health and safety... I'm not one to do everything by the book but Christ it was poor. Trees are very high which is no problem but when you just get left alone with little to no direction on the safety buckles etc its a bit worrying. Have to sign a disclaimer to say you understand it can lead to injuries and even death... I'm not surprised one slip and that's it (If the safety buckles not connected properly) Now I'm not saying Go Ape needs someone constantly by your side up there but at the very least they need to stick around and watch from below to give guidance. May just have been that particular center to be fair.

I just celebrated my daughter Serena's 10th birthday at Go Ape Crawley, and want to give a special shout out to two employees who went over and above to help my daughter. All was exciting and going well until she suddenly got gripped with fear of heights and despite all my reassurance for her safety she couldn't move forward or backwards halfway round challenge 2. Gigi had been a very kind and caring instructor, and was encouraging her from the ground, then came up and tried further to reassure her, but it wasn't until Giovan was called in and offered to accompany her over the tricky point that the breakthrough happened and she started enjoying the adventure again and managed to compete the while course with a smile. I would definitely like to thank both Gigi and Giovan so much for rescuing her birthday adventure and nominate them for most caring and encouraging and sympathetic staff!
