You can kill two birds with one stone if you're visiting Tring Natural History Museum and asked to leave early in order to let others in due to overcrowding. This ancient woodland is associated with museum founder Walter Rothchild anyway because he had once kangaroos, emus and other exotic animals roaming around here. Now you can only see grazing cows though as most wildlife is not active during the daytime but still it's a beautiful hilly/valley like terrain to get your daily dose of nature.

Smashing round walk with a sweeping of string and the surround area from the ridgeway walk. The summerhouse and obelisk is a surprising feature that’s worth walking to from Tring itself. Walk takes an hour from Tring natural history car park up to the top of the ridgeway and back down. A lovely, jolly jaunt on a clear day.

A really beautiful place for a family walk, fun information boards next to all the trails 👣 and the walk through the shade of the trees was just lovely. Lovely viewpoints, with benches to stop and appreciate along the way too. Definitely recommend taking a picnic. A really lovely lil haven. 😊💚

My sense of direction is the worst, but the park offers maps several places at the entrace. I must say ive only seen them stocked at the entrance nearest to the museum. The park is slightly muddy. Very good size. Took us an hour just to walk one of the routes, which was the whole idea anyways.

Beautiful views and the walks are fun and range in difficulty. If you park at the museum you have to go over a bridge with steps, so be mindful if you have a buggy. It is doable and absolutely fine if you have two adults to carry. Wear suitable footwear, it gets very muddy come Autumn!

Lovely walk in the country. Lots of smalls and dips to manage. A great view from the top and two of the Rothchilds follies to find half way up the hill. He used to ride a carriage pulled by Zebras along these bridle ways.
