I purchased some coffees and a selection of sweet treats to take away. In order:

Cakes: Excellent. Had some brownies, flapjacks, carrot cake. Delicious

Coffees: Excellent. Both milk drinks, but great stuff.

Price: Premium. I felt like I received a premium product for a premium price, and I'm happy with that.

A 5 out of 5 from me across the board.

However, it brings me no pleasure to add negativity, but when paying I don't really want to see a request for a 15%, 20%, or 25% tip on the tablet display. Firstly, I'm taking my food away, why would I tip? Secondly, why would I tip before receiving anything? Thirdly, those actual percentages on screen are too high on an already fairly premium price.

I have to give you this feedback mate, you run a top notch operation with real passion, but the way by which you are eliciting tips is a small, but noticeable, blemish on an otherwise great service and product. This configuration of tipping is an American thing, it's not the...

We popped in for a hot drink on a Saturday afternoon. We managed to find a free table and ordered drinks to stay in. They have a good selection of coffees and cakes. I had fancied a chai latte, which I was surprised to find they didn't offer, but I enjoyed my white hot chocolate very much nonetheless. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the table. It obviously hadn't been wiped down since the last customers left. But it was rather busy so I can understand how it had been missed. It certainly wouldn't put me off returning, the drinks were very nice, and I have no doubt a member of staff would have cleaned the table if we'd asked. There is seating at the front of the store at street level then more tables in the back which is down one step. The toilets are at the very back of the café up...

We had coffee in this establishment on a recent visit to Tring. The coffee and flapjack were really nice. However, two things were disappointing. My wife likes her coffee very weak (weaker than 1 shot) and asked for some extra hot water (the drinks were already “large”). On looking at the bill total there was a charge of £1-50 for the water. We cancelled the hot water. In all the places we have been, whilst out and around, we have NEVER been changed for a bit of extra hot water. The second point was trying to find the toilets - absolutely no signage, considering the toilets were through another seated area at the back and up some stairs (not easy to find without asking).
