First visit to Tarboush. This is a lovely quaint restaurant that packs a punch with flavour. For starters we had Beiruti hummus and harrissa prawns, both of which were awesome. Portions are huge! For mains we had the mixed grill and spicy tawouk. Again, the flavours were just on point and the meat quality and cookery is excellent. Delicious breads, sauces and salad for accompaniments too. Two things I think could be improved, though: 1. Desserts - the dessert menu didn’t feel as authentic/homemade/traditional as the starters and main menus. There are two pages of what feels like a random assortment of desserts - Portuguese tarts, orange chocolate cake, lemon cake, crème Catalana, Victoria sponge to name a few. It gave the impression of a well stocked fridge/freezer of pre-prepared desserts that have nothing to do with the restaurant. There is a special dessert of the day, but we were told there wasn’t one when we visited (a busy Saturday evening). We ended up ordering the baklava with ice cream, which was underwhelming, especially the ice cream, which was very icy. 2. Service - it started off really well with warm welcoming smiles and greetings. But as the night went on the service did get slower, and in the end we needed to grab someone’s attention to ask for our main dishes to be cleared off the table and for the desserts menu. We then had to go up to the bar and ask for the bill at the very end. Despite all of this, the starters and mains are just too good and outweigh the negatives we experienced. So, we would definitely return but would just skip the desserts the next time we visit… But if the Tarboush team can reinvent the desserts menu, they would be onto a winner! It would be amazing to showcase more Lebanese/Middle Eastern desserts in my opinion.

A terrific time out. We went as a group of 6 from work on a Thursday night at 6:15 pm and it was already busy with a great atmosphere. The service was attentive and quick. We asked for a buffet of mainly vegetarian small dishes and a couple of mains to share. No problem, they asked for our preference and got it just right. We also had coffee at the end and my cappuccino was a good size and one of the best i have had in a Tring restaurant. The cost of the meal including drinks was £44 per head, so on the pricier side, however worthwhile. Will be going again soon.

Wow! You need to open a restaurant in Potters bar! I had Chicken Tagine and it's the best I've ever tasted, the flavours made my mouth salivate, the restaurant is decorated beautifully and staff friendly. They have a little area off the garden section of dining area for Shisha pipes and an area downstairs (& upstairs for private hire) the only negative was they'd overcharged me £34 the waitress added someone else's food to my bill....hopefully they are refunding my card as I type! But food is outstanding, do go try it ;)

This was an absolutely fantastic restaurant. We went here on a Tuesday evening. It wasn’t too busy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic vibe and beautiful decorations. The food arrived quickly, and was incredibly tasty. I particularly liked the hummus with green chilli. The mixed grill was also great, along with the baklava. The prices were also pretty reasonable. I would definitely come back here, and highly recommend it.

Nicely set out, offering "nook" tables Very clean, great decor. Received a friendly welcome upon arrival and that level of service continued throughout. Started with a plate of Tzatziki with some thin toasted bread. Nice start then onto mains. I had the mixed grill which was amazing! Great taste, amazing flavours! My wife had the chicken tawock, she really enjoyed it, sadly she couldn't eat it all, so I stepped in! Will be back soon!

Was on a business trip in Tring and was looking for takeaway during lunch break. At first I walked in and requested takeaway but the incredible atmosphere and top customer service provided by Will made me change my mind and so I ate in. I bought rice with grilled chicken wings and salad (pictured) which was very delicious. If I go to Tring again, I would definitely eat here again.
