The Whiteknights Lake is definitely the nicest area of campus for a stroll. Plenty of friendly (and some very unfriendly geese!) wildlife to be seen. A great place to walk dogs and you will encounter many other walkers. The only thing to note is it can be quite dark at night and you must be careful. I highly recommend going to the lake if you're in need of some quiet time to recharge between lectures as it's a welcome change from the bustle of campus.

So relaxing to wander around and very pleasant in the summer when you get to see the baby geese, ducks, swans, coots and anything else start to grow up. It’s fun to feed the birds and watch them go about their day. Perfect for taking your children or dog to walk around with or to go for a run or cycle around.

A lovely area to relax and walk among the magnificent trees. Sometimes I wonder how old they must be? And not to forget the ducks, I love just seeing them going about their routines and not being bothered by the passerbys. So much to marvel at!

A favourite spot of ours! We visit in all weathers and in each it remains a wonderful time to spend within nature. A round of the lake is enough to brighten any day :)
