Always a beautiful place to visit a tranquil location in the middle of a busy surroundings. Great walks tons of wildlife to see and picnic benches to break up a journey. A former range centre is now a superb coffee shop with a decent meal range at very affordable prices. Toilet facilities are also available. There is a play park and near by on the canal is a canal side public house that also serves meals. Covid19 safety is in place at all the places and well maintained too. You can spend 3 to 4 hours at 5his beauty spot and not even realise how the time has passed you by. Staff are fantastic and there are plenty of safety notices around and info boards in case staff are unavailable. This is a treasure of a place in a off road location open summer time till early evening and winter from usually 10am till...

I use a power wheelchair and went round the lake anticlockwise today. Plenty of parking, including several areas for disabled spaces. The path is accessible around the lake, however, parts of the path have eruptions due to branches growing up under the path in places; there are parts where the path width is half covered by over growth so is half path/half verge, which would be tricky in wet/recently wet times; the part near the bridge is steep (as someone else mentioned- thank you, I was prepared) - I managed but in future might use the road for this small part of the path (it is the last hundred yards going anticlockwise). There were plenty of benches, including wheelchair accessible ones. I didn't use toilet or cafe facilities but cafe was open and it looked/smelt nice and we plan to...

A lovely little secluded lake just minutes away from the main road. The lake is lovely and there's a nice walk around the lake which is around 1.5 miles and there are lots of benches all the way round either for a little rest or just to sit and enjoy the quiet. For anyone who enjoys fishing there are pegs around half of the lake which is for members only and some of the pegs are really spacious to set out all your equipment and at least 1 disabled peg. There are lots of ducks, geese & swans on the lake which are lovely to sit and watch. In the car park (free parking) there is also a little cafe selling hot & cold drinks, ice creams & snacks with a few tables outside. It's a lovely relaxing little spot especially in...

A highly recommended place to visit. Totally lovely.. with seating and picnic areas along the way. Beautiful walks that can also lead on to a much longer walks if desired... a little walk along the canal and cross over to the gravel pits made a beautiful long walk which the dog loved as much as me. Plenty of fields, views, birds of prey/ wildlife to enjoy along the way. Had a lovely day and a trip down memory lane of childhood memories of Branston and the old gravel pits etc. 😍

Really nice park :) You can do a quick walk around the water or go for a longer walk beside the canal. Loads of ducks around it was so cute Lovely for a picnic, you can sit on floor but there’s also a few picnic tables dotted around. I like how quiet it was, parking is also free. Toilets are kinda weird though, theres also a little shop you can have hot and cold food and drinks and buy ice cream, there’s seating inside and outside too x
