The Bridge Inn — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

Decided to try somewhere different from our usual local pubs. Positives- good location, very cosy seating inside & quick service. Husband had the steak which was beautifully presented and very good value for money. He had no complaints with quality and taste of his meal. Not so positive - I had the lasagne which came with no chips or salad, paid extra for these. Lasagne OK but certainly not worth what I paid. Two Waitresses came to clean table next door to where we were sitting and both sprayed lots of very smelly cleaning product which landed on our table and lingered in air for quite a while, which not great when you're eating. Whilst I appreciate tables need to be cleaned and when seating so close it may be hard to avoid this happening, I did however think wipes may be more suitable and affect the eating experience of neighbouring...

So, you are looking for a romantic eatery, and you want to impress the other half. This is the place to come and let the other half find you more attractive than the moment you walked through the door. The old, rustic building is just super romantic. The atmosphere, just makes you want to come back and eat more and more. My background, I have eaten at some fine restaurants around the world during my time with Formula 1. I have had the opportunity to eat food, made by the Italian chef winner, and although it was brilliant, Maruisz dinner was better. And the price, I would happily pay double. We should really have read up on this place before venturing out. It isn't in fact a pub but a restaurant. We were told that if we wanted just to drink then we would have to sit in the garden, which might have been fine in the summer but at 7.30 in the evening at the end of October that was no good to us or evidently anyone else as the garden was empty. So I can't really rate this place accurately as we didn't stay. It might be a very good restaurant but really it needs to be re-branded as such because from the outside it looks like a typical...
