Mike, Wayne and all the staff at the Gate are so warm and welcoming. Myself and my family have eaten Sunday roasts which are beautifully presented with plenty of fresh vegetables. We’ve attended many of the weekend entertainment and The Gate has a fabulous community spirit, in which they recently supported a local family raising vital funds for support. I have joined the Wednesday evening Ukulele group in which we get taught songs and sing. Really disappointed with the staff, especially a young lady who was quite rude to this group of middle-aged people, who had children, she didn't even let them finish their drinks and kicked them off the premises, although it just hit 10:30 PM. Understandable that kids can't be there past that time but literally bang on to the min, got kicked out from THE GARDEN. Paid and didn't even get to finish their drinks. Saw that and really don't want to recommend a place that treats children like that. Could have just let them...

Brilliant community pub that really cares about its customers and people in the local area. The landlords work very hard to promote a relaxed, caring, safe and comfortable environment.

This is a lovely family pub, where children are made welcome but also a great night out at the same time offering a variety of theme nights and an events calendar.
