Probably one of the best places for walk in Burton-on-Trent, however get ready for some real poo on your shoes after you only follow footpath not even mention grass as the amount of swans and ducks is just too much. They all are being fed with bread by hundreds of people everyday and they just poo everywhere. It is disgusting. If you have little child make sure they wore shoes you never want to use again and if you have anything with wheels like pushchair or bike get ready for some stinky clening to do once you get home. Also odour from the poo is just too much for me and I stopped going there. Shame as council could really pay someone to do some sweeping or pressure washing instead of getting people to change flowers 5x a year. We don't care about stupid flowers. Kids playground has been last time cleaned and painted probably in 90' and again all parents say we do not care about your stupid plants, council. Also planters take every year 3 parking spots for their 'little' break barrack. Guess what? we parents want to park our car to use playground in summer not winter. We hate this stupid plants, planters and the fact that council waste taxpayers money on plants that are being pulled out when perfectly fine few times in summer just to change the layout. People wee in the bushes behind playground as toilet is never open, another great invention...

Well where do I start? This park and garden is just so beautiful. Especially with flowers and leaves, it’s also a nice place to go have picnic with your family and friends. You can also feed the ducks but not with bread. The playground is great but some facilities such as the spinning attraction was replaced. The fountain doesn’t work anymore because there was no water pouring out. The toilets aren’t great because the men toilet is most of the time closed but women toilet is most of the time open. I don’t know if you lot remember, but next to the ferry bridge used to be an ice cream shop where you can buy frozen deserts in hot summer days but it’s now permanently closed and sealed with bricks. Dogs should be on leads according to the east Staffordshire council but they don’t need to be on leads if you want them to run the grass area. Really awesome,...

A quiet place for walks with great nature good for family walks. Small play park at top for the little one. Access to disabled (there is a ramp) . You could walk from the top car park to the playpark which is on the left or you can access it via ferry street I believe it's called. Once at that park then you go through a load of nice walkways and flower stuff. Good if you are able to walk and don't have a bit of a disability. struggled with the hill. From there you can go down to the river which is where those birds will be. Those geese like to mob people though, some get a bit panicked. Loads of people do feed the swans geese etc. You could spend maybe an hour here not a lot more unless they had an event. Maybe bit longer if you have little ones.It's...

A nice little park in the middle of a busy built up area. Sadly at this time of year all the flower beds have been dug up. However still a nice area to sit and watch the world go by. During the evening's there is little in the way of light in half the park. It looks like the lamps need new bulbs, hopefully the council will repair these. No walk around the river which is disappointing, but again plenty of benches to sit and watch the ducks, geese, and swans. Noisy due to the main road going around but a little area of peace in an otherwise grey area.

Beautiful location for family visits. People of all ages will find a visit to this park relaxing as the garden is large and there's ample space for everyone to have a good time. Whether it's spending some time with the Swan at the water front, taking a walk in the gardens, having a picnic or simply spending fun times with your children at the playground. It was a beautiful experience and I would definitely visit again.

Stapenhill Gardens mainly comprises the former site of Stapenhill House. It was donated to the town in 1933 by Henry Goodger in memory of his late mother, Mary Goodger. For a time in the 1920s and 1930s, a portion of the park, now known as The Dingle, was the Stapenhill Zoological Pleasure Gardens, which had a bear pit and two crocodiles. This area now has a car park and children's play area.
