A nice park with a few distinguished areas to discover. I love parks specially in England where they tend to have a decent wide green area. Well situated in the middle of town where they can play a big role as a community space. A place to feel in contact with nature, to breath and absorbe positive energy overlooked by massive old trees. Chalkwell Park has two play areas one for toddlers and another for older children, which to my taste it is too close to a busy part of London road, therefore exposing the children to the traffic fumes and noise. An area for teenagers and young people who enjoy skates and bmx. Next to them a couple of basketball courts and four tennis courts. The latter would need payment and registration to access with a fob. A massive field on one corner of the park serves a cricket club and the local school as sports area. There are public toilets open by the London road entrance and two cafes which offer some kind of community service by having space to hire for private events or next to some facilities for social and community clubs. Other more excluded areas to feel more in nature with ponds and more vegetation and others with well looked after flowers and benches to seat and read a book or contemplate the clouds. Great park serving a...

I was immediately captivated by its tranquil beauty. As I strolled along the winding paths, I couldn't help but notice the stunning array of colorful flowers that adorned the park, creating a picturesque setting. The fragrance of freshly cut grass filled the air, adding to the delightful ambiance. The well-maintained lawns invited visitors to find a peaceful spot to relax and soak up the sunshine. The park's serene atmosphere provided a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether it was families enjoying a picnic, friends playing a lively game of frisbee, or couples taking a romantic stroll, Chalkwell Park had something for everyone to enjoy. I found myself immersed in the serenity of nature, losing track of time as I reveled in the simple pleasures of this hidden...

This place is quite literally my entire childhood. So many different landscapes. The kiosk is amazing, selling high quality food for a low price. I normally take my dog here on a walk and always find it to be an enriching experience, helping connect to the natural beauty of the park. The rose garden is always a pleasant walk, filled with beautiful views of nature and flowers. The playground is amazing for kids, and older ones to. An assortment of swings and slides make it a must visit for parents. They have 2 main fields which are absolutely fabulous for sports like cricket football etc, etc. Delightful little pond springing with wildlife such as ducks and fish. Overall an amazing experience guaranteed every single time when taking a trip to this beautiful,...

We went to the fair as most rides were £1.50 .My grandchildren had the time of their life .The side stalls are very expensive £4 a go .Bought 3 waters that cost £6 At the end of the day you expect that. They went on the Waltzer the guy was amazing jumping on twirling them round he was like Spider Man took me back to my youth .I took cash as its alot easier than trying to pay by card but you can do both on most rides etc My youngest granddaughter who is 7 said it was the best day ever so worth every penny

A beautiful park, so much to do and look at. Amazing gardens with beautiful flowers, ponds, café, tennis, cricket the list goes on. The most beautiful cedar tree which must be ever so old but stands there so elegant, the only one thing I'll say is please keep children from climbing up on it, so many children I saw doing this and parents or their guardian was just letting play on this amazing tree it's there to be admired not to be destroyed.
