Wonderful all-year round, home to Cafe Riva and the shortest funicular railway in the UK (!) - Fisherman’s Walk Beach is stunning. Beautiful, award-winning sandy beaches form part of the seven-mile stretch from Sandbanks in the west to Hengistbury Head in the east, with Fisherman’s being easily accessible from Southbourne Grove (a ten minute stroll through Fisherman’s Walk itself), as well as Pokesdown and Boscombe. Plenty of cliff walks, zig-zag paths to the beach, dog-friendly (although dogs need to be kept off the beach at this point from May 1st through to...

If you want a golden sand beach, without the crowds that both Bournemouth and Boscombe attract, then Southbourne is for you. Stretching from Fisherman's walk right up to Hengistbury Head the same beautiful sandy beaches are on offer, but, without the need to share your beach towels with the family next to you. Also during peak holiday periods there is a manned lifeguard station at the Fisherman's walk access ramp, a fernicular railway, coffee/ snack bar, and...

Been here twice now and I have to say it’s beyond beautiful! Walk from fisherman’s walk down the cliff side onto the beach is stunning! Going back the weekend to stay for longer. Beach was clean people are friendly. Me and my partner walked from here i to Bournemouth town, we found some beautiful gardens (china gardens) so lovely. Would definitely recommend coming here! Beach A lot less packed than Bournemouth main beach!...

Clean, quite, steep walk down to the beach and back up to the main road. Lift availability but expensive, should be a free service otherwise could be classed as discrimination towards, elderly, infirm, young children. If they do need to charge, don't ripped the public off. Dog beach and dog free beach, no shops, 2 ice-cream vendors, one serves hot and cold snacks. Nice enough place if the weather is on your side
