Waiter there is a RUBBER WASHER in my SOUP!!!! I just returned from this cafe. I was served soup and thought I had a sliced olive. What a surprise when I bit into a rubber washer!!! Avoid this restaurant. Need to call hygiene & safety inspector. They refunded me the soup offering me an alternative but not the meal which was just a coffee and tart, pretty appalling if you ask me. Eat here at your own risk, or if you are in need of spare parts for your washing machine! My partner explained it was just one of those things trying to calm me down, but I was deeply disappointed with the experience. I see the owner is trying to deflect responsibility from what was a shocking incident that no customer should ever have to put up with at an eating establishment. What an absolutely wonderful find in Salisbury. I met up with my friends from London - I had travelled from Exmouth - in Salisbury and we were looking for somewhere for a hot drink (no drinks trolleys on either of our trains) - and we were so lucky to find Fisherton Mill. Yummy hot spiced apple juice but more importantly a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Such lovely staff! We went back before we caught our respective trains and I bought lots of very individual, hand crafted gifts - which were not too expensive. I had another half an hour before my train went - so had another hot spiced apple and browsed their small but eclectic selection of books for sale - and the very kind lass on the tills charged my phone for me - no phone charging points on the train..... I even got another hot spiced apple for the train journey home. Thank you Fisherton Gallery - we will definitely come back...

I have been coming here for years. I have bought many wonderful gifts/jewelry for family, friends and also several works of art. As a local, it is one of my favourite place to visit in Salisbury, in particular when I share the experience with my friends and family.

So why only 3*? Well, I visited yesterday for the first time with my 22 year old son. We came for lunch. The food was lovely, but the pricing was ludicrous high. Yes, we all know food prices have gone up, but to charge over £15 for a single focaccia ham and gorgonzola sandwich is frankly, unacceptable. It was delicious and we shared one between 2 and had the pumpkin soup each. 2 soups, 1 sandwich and 2 black Americano coffees; £40!? Come on, please!
