A fascinating and interesting place to visit and learn more about Hull’s fishing heritage. The volunteers, who are experienced trawler men, share their first hand stories and go above and beyond to provide facts and information. Our grandfather was lost at sea and the men there had many stories and resources for us to learn more. A must visit for all.

I went here with my Daughter to find out about some family history. On the memorial out side we found my Grandads name. The staff were very helpful and informative and even offered to do some more research on my Grandad.

Wow what a place, just parked outside to call somewhere else, the door was open so went in,warmly greeted by Jerry he asked us if we had any connections to fishing, after thinking no,remembered that Caroline's grandad was on a hull trawler converted to a minesweeper and sunk in WW2,was killed in action 1941.Jerry found all about him for us in his wonderful enthusiastic manner, actually found newspaper articles containing picture of him, printed the article and pictures for us,very emotional,so this is the most Fantastic place to visit if your in anyway interested in Hull history, also well looked after by Dave and Sue.Cannot recommend this place highly enough please go visit and...

My Grandad visited the heritage center yesterday morning and he asked me to leave this review.

He had a lot of questions that was answered by an incredibly knowledgeable volunteer. He was so impressed with the museum. His farther, grandfather and great grandfather were all fisherman and he managed to find information on all of them!

He'd like to thank you all for...

Such an interesting museum. The trawler men (all volunteers) who run it are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and are eager to tell stories and explain about the models etc. We have been several times and took some visitors from Essex who were fascinated. And it is FREE to visit but donations are always welcome as it costs over ÂŁ1000 per month...
