Not a great place you want to take your baby or under 5!! The area for under 2s is TINY!!! and when I say tiny, imagine few blocks on the floor next to the reception layed out in the circle... TINY! PLAY PLANET what happened to the rest of it??? Did Someone steal it? did you figure that babies and toddlers are not as active or interested in doing things? Because they most definitely are! Doesn't get better in the 2 -4s, which is the most boring area that you could imagine for an extra £2! It's basically just a slide made out of softplay stuff. ONE... TINY... SLIDE! I know a pub in Hereford that has a softplay inside that is actually BETTER than that 2-4 area and it's free!!!! Why would parents take their babies or toddlers to play planet if they can go have a drink and some great food and have their babies play for free? Places like that pub I'm happy to rate high but how can you give a good rating to somewhere where you spend over £15 on top if the entry fee to try and keep your child entertained and stop him from running into the area for older kids? We bought him those little balls with a surprise inside, we went on a horse ride, got a plush toy, had cake, but in the end we had to leave as he just kept crying that he couldn't go on the big kids stuff and was bored on the other bits. That really shouldn't be the case if the place was designed properly Extend the under 2-4 into the older kids area( it's huuuge, they won't even notice!)join it with the baby area, put in few ball pits ( smaller and bigger labelled under and over 2s) sensory toys ( maybe those fake fish tanks, or light toys), number blocks and tunnels. Little ones deserve to have just as much attention given to them! And I bet Play planet would benefit from that too as new mom's love great places to take their little ones. I'm sure the bigger kids area is fantastic and if my son was over 5 this review would have been completely different. I'm really sad to be writing it too as we originally went to find a venue for a 2nd bday party and this place was very high on my list. I really hope PlayPlanet will listen and make at least a couple of changes. It's a great little place with great staff, but there's a massive hole where babies and 2-4s sit.. please fix it PlayPlanet REPLY TO THE RESPONSE: I now changed my score from two to one star, as the reply was simply upsetting. First of all, we did come and talk to the lady at the reception who just pointed at the area for' over 2's' nodding for us to be ok to be there. The whole of your reply you are proudly announcing how great the options at Play Planet are and how much there is for my son to do... like it's something we should just KNOW upon arrival, like it's some kind of universal knowledge you're born with! You seem to have forgotten that new customers exist...and especially for those, your staff failed to provide any kind of information, no leaflets, no posters and no staff around willing to help out. The ONLY information we were given is a tip of the finger poinging at the direction of the area for kids. I can't even tell you which one as it was difficult to hear, so I had to guess a lot. Oh, that and the fact that you pay £2 more after his 2nd birthday So..... sorry to say, but you having all this info, all these fabulous things they can do, and be, help me in no way! But maybe try sharing it with your customers when they arrive at the Play Planet so they can take full advantage of the place? Because it really isn't about how much it costs or what the staff says or doesn't say, in the end of the day, it was all about my baby crying most of the time he was there because one reason or another. And if I had that info you mentioned, it wouldn't be the case! He'd be able to enjoy himself , have fun, explore and be happy. And that's all I wanted for him.

First time visit and my 8 month old Grandson loved the little soft play area. It was quite busy and very noisy when we arrived but a large party was just leaving so it settled down a bit after they left. Clearly all the children were enjoying themselves. A bit of a wait to get a drink at the cafe but the coffee was good. All the staff were really nice and security was excellent. Woukd highly recommend.

Since the management change this place had improved immensely! It is clean, tidy and every single staff member are fun, friendly, happy and helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Birthday parties here are great fun for kids of all ages. They've just had a new slide installed too which has been a big hit with kids and adults! Highly recommended visiting.

my other half tookmy son to play planet today and even though they had been in local paper about this she decided to email the hereford times as followed........ I am writing concerning an article about play planet that I saw a few weeks back. I took my 13 month old son there today with a couple of other people and kids. On entry we were given a ticket for our children to recieve a free drink of squash and a biscuit. everything was fine until we decided to go and collect the free stuff. I went to the counter with my sons empty juice bottle and asked them if they could put his squash into his own bottle. The woman behind the counter asked another lady who asked how old my son was. Because he was over 12 months she said he had to use the cup they provide which was a cheap plastic sippy cup. I told the lady that my son couldnt use a cup like that because the juice comes out too fast and he doesnt like it as he is used to using a bottle teat or occasionally a cup with a non drip spout. To this she replied 'he should be using a cup like this at his age' her comment really upset me as it sounded as if she was implying I am a rubbish mum and that my son is slow. I tried to get my son to drink from thier cup but he just kept tipping it down himself meaning he had to sit in wet clothes. A friend then went to the counter to ask again and they agreed for him to use his own cup but he wouldnt be allowed to do it again. I dont understand why there is a problem with a child using thier own cup with play planets juice in it. Not every child is the same and each parent has their own thoughts and feelings on what they want for thier child and for play planet to tell a mother that thier child has to use a cup they are not used to whilst on thier premises is ridiculous, play planet are providing the squash to put in it, they are making it harder on themselves by having to buy the cups and wash the cups. Thier food and drink policy is stupid , I have never been to a soft play centre which has had the same rules. I have heard from friends with younger children that you arent allowed to take your own baby food jars to feed your child and you have to pay about £1.70 for one that they provide. A jug of squash is £1.65 when you can go to tesco and buy a bottle of squash for 42p and they even charge 50p for a jug of water. They think they can get away with thier ridiculous rules because they are the only place that provides soft play for children in hereford. I am sure I am not the only mother who feels like this. my conclusion is over priced, pathetic rules, and a complete waste of tme, i,d rather take my son to a land fill as at least we wouldnt have to pay ridiculous prices for things that cost 10 x cheaper in shops, i know you got to look at profit but by god this just takes the well you get our point....AVOID...

so me and a friend brought our children here on friday,,,all started out very well until ordering our lunch,,my friend ordered hers and her sons meals first then i ordered for me and my twins, the lady (polly)was walking back and forth to my friends order writing mine on their as well,,so all was well until the meals arrived, mine and my 1 sons came ok but when bringing my other sons i noticed they had put cheese on the burger which i asked for it without as my son doesnt like cheese,so the lady who brought it out looked a little shocked but took it back to the kitchen,,,then after waiting 15 mins polly then came over to my table saying that i had asked for cheese on this burger ,so basically calling me a liar,my son was even telling her he didnt like cheese,,after my friend also told her that i had asked for no cheese she than pointed at her in a rude manner,so she then returned to the kitchen and the chef (pete) was getting very angry and we could here him slagging us off, polly then returned to our table saying we could either have cheese burger or a refund,(what the point was i have no idea as i would just have ordered what i wanted)we than asked to see the manager who came over spoke to us went into the kitchen spoke to them then returned to us saying i had asked for cheese,,,omg 25 mins later my son is still waiting patiently while were all eating,,the manager returns saying that we could have the burger (without cheese)but would have to wait behind all the other orders,,after a few words the manager then said they would cook it straight away,,why this took so long to sort out and after staff calling me a liar, and while the chef still slagging us off, 35mins after we had our meals my son eventually got his burger,,,,what a joke,,ive never heard of sutch bad servise,,me and my friend will not be returning with...
