I spotted this on a map as I was looking for ideas for a day out with my adult son. It's a couple of hours on the train and absolutely worth the time it took to get there.
We spent just over an hour at the museum. The people there are so friendly. The museum itself has a lot to offer, including some history of cider making and of the Bulmer family. We very much enjoyed our time there.
There is also a shop at the entrance/exit where you can sample some ciders and purchase from the wide selection on offer.
There are toilets (including disabled) and a cafe (we had a lovely cup of tea - pot of tea for 2 was £4).
Accessibility isn't the best as there are stairs and some narrow spaces. However, there are concession prices that take into account if visitors are unable to fully enjoy all parts...

The display of old adverts was amusing, e.g. "Pull a bird tonight." and "Get out of your tree." etc., alluding to the Bulmers Woodpecker bird advertising icon. The office of the former company CEO was modest; I have occupied bigger offices in the past. A must-see museum even if cider is not to your taste. Read moreWe were in the area and as cider drinkers felt we had to make a visit here and it was well worth it. Parking is free and right outside and entry prices very reasonable. On two levels the whole history of cider both local and national is explained in detail. At the end you get to sample a few ciders and some local apple juice - all excellent and we then bought a few from the shop stocked with ciders from a host of local producers. There is a cafe with drinks/cakes etc. but we didn't have time and staff were all very helpful and friendly - it was very quiet on a Monday lunchtime. Highly recommended for cider and...
