This beautiful garden and clifftop walk stretches for about half a mile along the seafront. I joined the pathway just behind the Princess Theatre, and climbed all the way to the top. The level lower path running parallel to the prom was lined with a profusion of palms, grasses, colourful flowering shrubs, and exotic plants. Look out for the grotto, with a fantastic little sculpture inside, about halfway along! The walk to the top was up a moderately steep path with easy steps (but lots of them!), and stout handrails. I didn't find it too challenging, and it was well worth the effort, because increasingly spectacular views of the harbour, Torre Abbey Sands, and the wonderful coastline of Torbay open up as you climb. The wildflowers are beautiful, and pines cling to the rock face. And it was so peaceful up here, way above the bustle of the prom! Me and the wife joined the walk on Sheddon Hill just above the foot bridge and walked as far as the Princess Theatre,this was as far as we could go as the workmen were cutting back the shrubs and plants so the rest of the path was closed.I believe it goes as far as Fleet Walk so we'll probably do that next time and I imagine it's a lot easier walking down than up! The only downside is the main bedroom, it has a bath with a shower head that has no shower screen or fixture for the shower so you have to hold it at all times. It's ok if you're an octopus and you don't mind the floor...
