Two adults on holiday with two children and two dogs This was a very busy and very popular pub on the Harbour in Torquay at lunchtime There were no places available for us initially but we were quickly directed into a small queue of people waiting to be seated. This was done quickly and efficiently and were soon sat in a lovely position inside The menu was superb, offering a large range of choice for all the family. Despite this, we were quite awkward customers in terms of wanting variations in the menu, that they were happy to supply, but on condition that we ordered and paid for at the bar We were greeted by a lovely waitress called “Daisy” who was easy to talk to and gave us an amazing service and a caring attitude The food came out piping hot and was very tasty with the exception of the Mac and cheese which was lukewarm and the milkshakes weren’t ground quite enough so it included partially broken ice cubes instead perhaps of extra ice cream cream mixed together. In addition, there was an unexpected power cut in the kitchen. Staff kept their heads and dealt with things very calmly, reassuring customers that things would be coming shortly or offering to give waiting customers their money back. I didn’t receive my hash browns though or get offered any money back for them The biggest pluses of the place was the organisation and structure of the restaurant, it’s amazing location and beyond doubt the incredible service that Daisy and other members of staff offered to us all.

The food is absolutely lush! Had a large breakfast and my fiancee had avacado and poached egg on toast both dishes looked great and tasted amazing. Would have given four stars but the guy serving at the tills was for some reason calling people forward ahead of myself and others who had been waiting a while to take their order, when we questioned this and mentioned four people had been served ahead of us his response was "well I'm busy, just coz there are two tills doesn't mean there are two ques"...There were infact two ques which were being served by two separate tills. While the lad was taking my order showing off waving his hand around trying to tap the screen in some special way he hit the wrong button and took my order slightly wrong, I'm fairly sure this would have been avoided if he wasn't rushing with the till buttons trying to look like a 'pro' 🤔. The breakfasts as I said we're lush and would definitely go again, hopefully he isn't on the tills next time.

This place is amazing, having a food allergy is often a difficulty that restaurants don't want to deal with, not here. They are fully prepared and nothing is too much trouble. To add to this the food was really tasty, lots of flavour! The tapas menu was fantastic, plenty of choice for everyone and the kids burger was devoured by my son. The atmosphere inside the bar was really good we ate our mains and my son loved that there were a range of kids games for him to use. We then had dessert overlooking the sea, we asked to move outside and again, not a problem. The staff were also very friendly but a special thanks has to go to Lupe, he made an already fantastic experience even better. He was friendly, polite and approachable, what more could you ask for in a host. Well worth the visit, my son's face shows just how much he loves this place!

A cavernous place decorated in an interesting style, a mixture of kitsch art and mirrors, old lampshades grouped over the bar and industrial lighting over the tables. Great atmosphere if a little noisy but I liked it and the food was good. I had the Lounge Burger with fries which was very good and reasonably priced at £10.95 and a Peachy Keen which was delicious although expensive at £3.65 as it was mostly ice. I had the same another time having visited other places first but, although the weather was very hot, it seemed not one eatery in Torquay had the sense to have a couple of fans running so left all of them before ordering as they were just too hot. Visto Lounge had some kind of fan/aircon thing going so was much more comfortable. I might have tried something else on the menu but, being hot and bothered by this time, I was in no mood for further experimentation but am sure other things would have been good, too. I had to wait about 30 mins for my food the first time (evening) and 15 mins the second (lunchtime) so, at busy times, get there before you're too hungry to wait. UPDATE: I'm not 'a frequent customer of lounges'. I visited this one, twice, during a brief stay in Torquay which will not be repeated. For the record, I don't spend a lot of time standing on street...

I likes this place and it was our first visit, having gone.there with friends.

The staff are fruendly and helpful, and there is a downloadable app which enables you to order and pay from your phone/tablet.

The menu is varied and has a dew suprises.

We went for the Shawarma Lamb Flatbread with a side of fries, and a Goan Lamb Curry with a side of garlic flatbread.

Whilst I found the curry to be really good with tender lamb in a medium spiced curry gravey with chunks of sweet potato; the garlic flatbread was similar to an overcooked, tough, crunchy 6 inch pizza base and in no way flexible!

Sadly the flatbread for the Shawarma was identical and could only be eaten with a knife and fork after much strenuous cutting. The fries were fries sparse, in a small enamelled cup. The topping was also sparse of meat and heavy in a mallange of sauces.

So, mixed reviews on the food which is reflected in the scoring.

We would definitely go back again and sample other things from the menu, and I would encourage you to give it a whirl.

As I said, the staff were very friendly and the service was swift; the smbience was pretty good too, and you have to love a restuatant that welcomes...
