Review of Prezo Torquay
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prezo Torquay and I’m excited to share my experience. From the atmosphere to the service and, of course, the food, here’s a breakdown of what made my visit stand out.
Ambiance: The atmosphere at Prezo Torquay was warm and inviting. The decor struck a perfect balance between [elegant/casual/modern/etc.], making it suitable for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. The lighting was just right, and the background music created a pleasant setting without being overwhelming.
Service: The service at Prezo Torquay was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server, [Server’s Name], made sure we had everything we needed, offering thoughtful suggestions and checking in at just the right moments. The food arrived promptly, and the staff ensured we had a smooth dining experience from start to finish.
Food: Now, the star of the show—the food! The menu at Prezo Torquay offers a variety of dishes that cater to diverse tastes. I started with the [Starter Dish], which was a perfect blend of flavors. For the main course, I tried the [Main Dish], and it was absolutely delicious—[mention specific flavors, textures, and quality]. The [Dessert/Side Dish] was the perfect way to end the meal, and it did not disappoint.
Everything was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and commitment to quality. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and experience.
Drinks: The drink menu was equally impressive, with a wide range of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options. I tried the [Cocktail/Wine], and it paired wonderfully with my meal.
Value: Considering the quality of the food, the level of service, and the overall experience, Prezo Torquay offers great value for money. Whether you’re looking for a special occasion dinner or just a casual night out, it’s worth every penny.
Conclusion: Overall, I highly recommend Prezo Torquay for anyone in search of an enjoyable dining experience. The combination of excellent food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere makes it a standout in the area. I’ll definitely be returning for...
Read moreWe decided to go to Prezzo for a quick and easy dinner as you usually know what you’re going to get but unfortunately we chose the wrong night due to a number of failures.
The staff member who met us when we walked in asked us where we’d like to sit & as there were only about 5 tables in use we pointed to a spare table along the wall of the restaurant to be away from the main crowd of tables in use more in the centre but just as we were sitting down the manager on duty came over and told the waitress that she couldn’t sit us there without giving a reason and told her to re-seat us more in the centre, we didn’t say anything but did what was asked.
Next our drinks came out which was a glass of wine and bottle of cider with a glass, when I took a sip of my cider there was a rancid smell that came from inside the glass I’d put my cider in, I knew this wasn’t it’s usual smell as have had the same cider before, it was un-drinkable so asked for a new glass which they were happy to do and bought a new bottle of cider with it too. My wife took a sip of her glass of wine but around the outside of her glass there was a small bogey/silicone type ball on the outside of the glass, again we complained and she got a new glass of wine.
Whilst we were waiting for our food a staff member appeared from the kitchen and proceeded to walk through the restaurant with a plunger towards the toilets and then a while later reappeared from the toilets walking through the restaurant holding the plunger going back into the kitchen with it, luckily we weren’t close enough to notice if it smelt like it could have been put to use but very off putting.
Towards the end of our visit the manager on duty was having a heated conversation with one of her staff members where it seemed like she was telling them off but this was in front of the whole restaurant by the till and was loud enough for us to look across even though we were a few tables away, this should have been done in a more private setting 1 to stop the embarrassment for the staff member and 2 for customers to not hear this whilst trying to enjoy their evening.
The food as always was standard, no complaints as was as expected, just all the other things this night put a downer on the...

So we were lucky compared to the table next to us as we got there after them and our food came first after waiting for nearly 40 minutes ourselves... My main was missing the main ingredient (pumpkin) and the ravioli itself was a little undercooked. the mushroom and sage sauce tasted lovely though. My other half's lasagne came as just that (fair I guess as no mention of side salad and piece of garlic bread on menu, though that's a standard accompaniment to us)... There was little cheese and he said the ragu didn't taste right - lack of red wine? it reminded him of the lasagne he had at school. 😬 £15 each...
Onto dessert... Another long wait. Beautiful banana biscoff cheesecake drizzled with chocolate sauce? They were out of the banana so they offered potential alternative - I had raspberries (of which they gave me 3 on the side of the plate) and I mentioned a dollop of gelato for my other half to which the waitress said they were out of all gelato too (read on to the end!). He settled for it as is without banana and asked for extra chocolate sauce. It came and his chocolate sauce was at the bottom on the plate as an aesthetic accenting the dish rather than drizzled onto the cheesecake for him to enjoy... There was little to actually scoop onto it to he felt disappointed. £7.50 for each dessert...
Waiting for the bill for 30 minutes solid, saw our waitress put her coat on and grab her bag as her shift ended but she hadn't finished serving us...? She went socialising with the rest of the crew at the bar (chef, two other waitresses) and the table next to us were waiting for their bill too, complaining ... Chef had brought a large metal container out to the bar before finishing his chat and leaving. I went over to ask for the bill, our waitress in her coat said she'll send someone over. I looked at her colleague who was funnily enough scooping chocolate ice-cream for herself out of the giant metal container... No gelato?! It was near full...
£63 for the bill for 2 people and that service... We paid and laughed it off. Won't be going back...
