Southchurch Hall Gardens — Attraction in England

Now living very close by, this is one of my happy places. I love feeding the ducks (please follow guidelines - absolutely NO bread or yeast products! They love porridge oats!). There's squirrels, lots of birds, Koi carp, fish, terrapins and even large birds here not to mention squirrels here! There's a plaque to our late wonderful MP Sir David Amess. Please note: dogs must be kept on a lead here. Unfortunately one entrance to the park doesn't state that dogs must be kept on a lead or you can can be fined £100. A lady didn't know and her labrador retriever dog went into the water and scared the whole flock of ducks flew away! She was so upset. Thankfully the ducks came back! There's quite a few...

So very disappointed, as a child I used to play in this park and feed the Ducks, Swan's and other wildlife with my Mother and Father, The Park used to be immaculate and brimming with wildlife. The park keeper taking pride in his work, now I see plastic bottles in the pond's, flooded paths, brambles where flowers and bushes used to be, the pond's and moat are in disarray, it's so sad that the council has let this happen, they are probably waisting the money on another snowflake...

After visiting chalkwell park and South church park which I have to say even in these uncertain corvid times are beautifully maintained .South church hall is a disgrace totally unkemp overgrown ,unloved ,the hall itself even though it was closed paint peeling off in need of some maintenance.This is an historic place that should be preserved as it would b a place of interest to people visiting the area ,I think I'm being generous...
