Fabulous spot to visit although safe times to cross are very restricted so check the tide times. Despite only being a few hundred yards offshore,it is a very spiritual place and I can well imagine St Cuthberts immersing himself in the icy waters of...

Lovely little island near the church and priory, accessible at low tide. Very low ruins of an old chapel. Fabulous views. Sit and have a picnic and watch the seals messing about...

Very emotive island, once the home of st cuthbert. You can listen to and see the seals here, as well as enjoy views over to Bamburgh. We were lucky enough to get the blue moon too.

Very emotive island, once the home of st cuthbert. You can listen to and see the seals here, as well as enjoy views over to Bamburgh. We were lucky enough to get the blue moon too.
