A decent size public garden but with limited number of trees. I might be biased as I am used to forest like public gardens as an international student but the scarcity of trees mean that you are always exposed to the sun while visiting which makes it not so appealing during summer time or for those who don't like staying out in the sun for a long time for those who do however there are a number of bences and hills that can be used. These gardens are Grade II listed in the National Register of Historic Parks...

The thing that let's it down is the abundance of homeless people drinking in the park and smoking dope. I fear that this is a park based in town where the select few brave enough to take drugs in public flock to. There's often a great deal of students walking in and around the park and gardens too, sometimes loud and obnoxiously shouting.
I feel the Gardens would benefit from a form of security guard, watchman or a basic...
