Drinks only is what I'd recommend. The price for the quality of food and lack of service is not worth it. The food was good although it didn't have as much flavour as it could have done and not as many spices as you'd expect from Caribbean food. The servers were polite although the attention was massively lacking . The waitress who we had at the end was excellent and almost made up for the lack of service prior and was understanding when we asked to take the service charge off the bill. We had drinks, starters, mains, and pudding which we'd normally expect to take 90 minutes but this took three hours. The speed of the bartenders was impressive and they had our cocktails and other drinks out within a matter of minutes and these were done well. I know Turtle Bay's bartenders are top notch so no surprises that this had no complaints from us. As for clearing our table and taking next orders when we were done, there was much to be desired as it took up to half an hour several times. We also thought they had lost our orders for our mains as this took a long time and it was only when they came over apologising and agreed to give us a 20% discount due to the delay with getting us our food that we knew what was going on. After we finished our main meals, we did need to go up and ask for puddings as our table hadn't been waited on and we had all of the dishes still there. The first waitress we had seemed to finish her shift but not hand us over which may have caused such a delay to us being waited on next. On the receipt it says served by Vanessa who may have been the first waitress who opened the tab although I'm not sure if this would have been the final waitress. The quality of most of the food wasn't worth it especially with the added lack of service by the staff. Four of the eight of us had curries and they weren't bad but not noteworthy. I highly doubt I'll be here again. As is likely as clear as day, the main let down was how inattentive the waiting staff were for the majority of the night. This may have been a one off so the service could be good especially if you had the waitress we had at the end then could have been great. The discount and lack of service charge did make the food more reasonably priced although at full price the amount of flavour in the food wouldn't make us come back again. The only thing really saving this review from being lower is the politeness of all staff especially the friendliness and understanding of the last waitress we had. You need more with her attitude. The decorations and vibe in the restaurant were great apart from the fact that the music was somewhat inappropriate at times so maybe rethink the playlist. There was a song by Cardi B which they skipped earlier on but later songs played which were equally as inappropriate.

Turtle Bay’s bottomless drinks experience is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you arrive, the vibrant atmosphere, tropical vibes, and friendly staff set the stage for an unforgettable time. The bottomless drinks selection is vast, offering everything from refreshing cocktails like the signature Reggae Rum Punch to classics like mojitos and mimosas—all expertly crafted and deliciously balanced. What truly sets Turtle Bay apart is the incredible value. For a very reasonable price, you get two hours of unlimited drinks, all served promptly and with a smile. The bartenders are attentive, ensuring your glass is never empty, and they’re happy to customize drinks to suit your taste. Whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just treating yourself to a fun day out, Turtle Bay’s bottomless drinks offer the perfect mix of flavor, fun, and festivity. Pair that with their tasty Caribbean-inspired food, and you’re in for a real treat. Highly recommend for a lively, laid-back experience that’s sure to leave you buzzing (in all the best ways)!

Haven't been for a while but it was disappointing here on late sat afternoon. Not very attentive staff, 1 of which that served us looked miserable, no eye contact or even a smile. Had to ask after 20 minutes for a drink top up. Food was average. Prosecco was a cheap nasty taste. Full of really drunk groups, a girl even walked past our table whilst we were eating, holding her mouth to go and be sick in the toilets (which we were unfortunately right next to). The other gripe from our booking is that we had a pregnant lady due to join us and was told she couldn't have any other option other than Bottomless Brunch if that was what the rest of the party were having! Considering the restaurant had tables all having different drinks and food I don't see why she couldn't have ordered herself iust a lemonade and a main menu option like the rest of us! Very petty, rigid and not accommodating. Needless to say she cancelled her place and met us later on to enjoy some more food and drinks at The Botanist. Far more enjoyable. Won't rush back here.

Went out on Sunday 18th with a few friends for my birthday- man who greeted us was polite and seated us but the service quickly declined. We were seated far away from the rest of the guests who were receiving what appeared to be quick and attentive service compared to our table which got ignored for a majority of our time there. We waited 30 minutes for someone to come to our table despite servers and the man who appeared to be the manager constantly circling around and even looking at our tables, along with all the employees on shift hanging around the kitchen area at the same time while we had literally had 1 drink each for the time we’d been there. Only received a half hearted service which was nothing like what we were greeted with after we had to ask the bartender (who’s drinks were amazing btw) to get someone to come to our table. We ordered our food and one order was missed which we were only told about once they had closed the kitchen- despite us being there for an hour at this point. There was clearly no communication going on between the servers and the man in charge as we were told there would be another server to take our order when we were sat but no one even paid attention to the fact there was a table of 5 looking around with a load of empty glasses- clearly seemed to be more focus on getting their close done. As someone who works in the same industry I understand wanting to get your close done but even after we had been seated there were people coming in after us receiving speedy service and getting out faster than we could. We received our bill and waited another 15 minutes to be able to pay which only was given attention when we stood up to leave. We stayed longer than we wanted to because nobody could be bothered to even bat an eyelid at us unless we actually said something even when we were the only ones left in the venue after it had technically closed. Usually am happy to pay the service charge but there was no service to be charged for this time so we removed it. Such a shame as we’ve been here a lot of times before and have never ever been made to feel...

Nestled in the heart of Exeter, Turtle Bay offers a vibrant and flavorful journey through Caribbean cuisine. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm ambiance and a bustling atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

Our waiter, Swaraj, was a true standout throughout our visit. His attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were exceptional, effortlessly guiding us through the extensive array of dishes and drinks. Swaraj's passion for the cuisine was evident as he shared insights into each dish's ingredients and origins, adding an extra layer of appreciation to our meal.

As for the food, every dish we sampled was bursting with bold flavors and expertly prepared. From the jerk chicken to the curry goat, each bite transported us to the sunny shores of the Caribbean. The cocktails were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the spicy and savory flavors of the cuisine.

In addition to the fantastic food and service, Turtle Bay Exeter's lively atmosphere and vibrant decor added to the overall charm of the restaurant. The reggae beats and colorful murals created a festive backdrop for our dining experience, making it feel like a mini vacation right in the heart of Exeter.

Overall, our dining experience at Turtle Bay Exeter exceeded all expectations thanks to the impeccable service provided by Swaraj and the delightful culinary journey through the Caribbean. Whether you're craving authentic Caribbean cuisine or simply looking for a lively and memorable dining experience, Turtle Bay Exeter is a must-visit...
