I have been coming here for the last 20 years and whilst I don't normally do reviews, I felt it necessary after reading the negative ones given.
Kids planet has been runand managed by the same people since day one. They care about their customers, staff and the place itself.
I have read negatives about children running riot etc and staff not doing anything about it.... The staff are NOT there to monitor the children. This is not a daycare. If parents choose to allow their children to behave in this way, that is down to the parents, not the staff.
Limited food? Ha ha, this is a play centre for children. Like anywhere they can only provide so much. Dietary requirements are dealt with as best they can BUT there is no harm in bringing in own food that would suit specific requirements, Claire and the team would be more than happy to allow that.
Dirty? How many of you have had 150 children running around your house with 3 or 4 of you to run around after them..... Give it a go and tell me how spotless it will look. Half the time it is actually lazy parents LEAVING THEIR CRAP all over the tables or brush g food onto the floor. Shall we see how safe it would be with 5 people constantly trying to hoover up?
Old equipment? This stuff costs BIG money. I mean VERY big money. COVID hitting hit the establishment very hard and it was only their business acumen that stopped them going under like 90% of other soft play centres. They are constantly improving and changing equipment when they can. How old do you think half of the things at Thorpe Park etc are?
Here's a round up. It's a great place. A part of the community. It is very reasonably priced, the food is overall great, service is good and there is loads of free parking.
Stop having unreasonable expectations.
To Claire and all the gang, ya bloody brilliant and ALL of my children love...
Read moreIsn't expensive, & Can book online. Need transport due to location, & if there's traffic problems (there was today) can be challenging to get there unless you know the back roads. You can only eat & drink from their cafeteria (strict rule) which doesn't have much in the way of healthy choices. If your child has a special diet/allergies it's not good at all. It's supposed to have air conditioning, but that must need an upgrade, the air stale, hot, & no cool air as you'd expect from air conditioning. It states age segregated areas, this is not what I experienced, as older & more boisterous children played in much younger children's area. They were approached by a member of staff, but only to ask them to be more careful as younger children were at play. I also noticed minimal staff & would say not enough to service this place. But well done to the staff present, it's a problem in every work place these days. Socks must be worn, & you can even purchase a pair there should you need to. But one activity which is a projected animated floor space, must have been slippy, as my grandchild slipped head on & bumped their head. Overall the place looks like it could do with an upgrade, a bit of modernizing. It ought to have more floor staff, cater for all dietary needs, or drop it's catering rule of only cafeteria bought food. Also some outdoor seating where parents can take children to eat, as it gets too hot inside. It isn't expensive, but I think most people would be happy to pay a little more for a better experience. You get what you pay for I suppose! Sadly I have to say that I wouldn't take my...
Read moreFirstly I wanted to say I have been coming to this soft play for the last three years and have never had any issues and have always recommended it and held it in high regards, but when a place is so amazing it’s so much easier to notice when it’s not and today was one of those days.
The rocket didn’t work and I can totally understand, but it would have been good if was made aware on the website before booking to avoid disappointment, as not everyone is on Facebook. With such a staple piece of equipment being out of order, you would have thought they made sure everything else was working, but it wasn’t like the interactive activities such as the air guns, the ball drop where the tube sucks the balls or the interactive floor in the under 4’s didn’t work.
The cleanliness was the worst I have ever seen it today. Dust, lose hair, fluff, food, was setting off my allergies, but in the staffs defence the floors were being mopped on the entry and exit so maybe the cleaning isn’t done before the first entry? I understand it’s Easter half term but even more reason to keep on top of cleanliness .
Majority of staff were polite friendly and upbeat, but one member of staff on cafe area could improve in hospitality and customer service skills. She wasn’t rude but wasn’t polite either and when comparing staff, she really lacked in general customer service skills while zipping her large red bull through a straw in between serving customers at the till. She gave the impression she was highly hung over and didn’t want...
