Visited with my family mid afternoon and could not believe the different groups of kids drinking out full size bottles of vodka and smoking drugs openly in front of other adults and children in the playground and park areas, shocking. Also an old man sitting with golf clubs at the crazy golf area, drinking from a wine bottle with lager at his feet, he was completely paralletic. When I visited the playground with my family on my previous visit, there were young kids sitting on the play equipment openly smoking god knows what with young toddlers playing beside them, what if one of the young children picked up drugs and put in their mouth! Would not recommend Forfar Loch Country Park to anybody, did not even trust leaving my vehicle in the car park with the amount of dodgy people hanging about. Police need to patrol this park daily to stop this kind...

Absolutely beautiful location and place to visit. Cannot recommend enough. There is a small carpark and a smaller overflow but generally has spaces. There is a fabulous children's play park with a view of the Loch. Lots of mixed ability equipment to occupy varying ages.

The walk itself around the Loch with little legs takes about an hour. It is dog friendly and there are bins sporadically dotted about which is a bonus. The path is maintained so really user friendly for prams, wheelchairs etc.

There is lots to see with the wetlands and surrounding areas. There are often swans, ducks and other wildlife on the water to keep kids entertained.

Well...

The walk around the loch is beautiful and there are many wild birds to be seen. There are loads of swans, I've never seen so many in one place before, easily up to 100. There is a lookout point and seats situated around the loch. There is also fitness equipment on the way around. Three beginning and end of the walk are the only paths that would be suitable for people with access issues as the middle is uneven/rocky/muddy, a shame really. If there is a councillor reading this please make it accessible so that everyone...

Nice place for a quiet stroll or a couple of hours with the kids. There's a playground, public loos and and the track around the loch is mostly tarmac'd and all flat so its accessible for those less able, too. I use it to run (if you can call it that) because its nice scenery and an easy route. It would get the extra star if there was somewhere you could get a drink, even if it was just somewhere to fill a water bottle.

A pleasant enough park though nothing particularly special in the grand scheme of things. The circular walk around the Loch is flat and consists of a good quality path that is suitable for most large pushchairs. Dog walkers and joggers stand to gain the most from this place (there are three outdoors gyms around it's perimeter) and seem to make up the majority of its visitors.
