Dinos Kebab - Forfar — Restaurant in Scotland

This used to be my all time favourite kebab/pizza shop but downgraded to 2 stars following our latest order at the start of June. When we first started ordering from this establishment using their app a good few years ago, we'd tried the doner pizza and were disappointed that the doner was cut up very small and sprinkled on, then covered with cheese. You couldn't really taste the kebab meat. Fair enough, that was the way it was done when we were expecting a portion of doner on top, lesson learned and we just didn't bother ordering that again. That was until we noticed some time later that the pizza ordering changed and you could order doner as an extra topping (for considerably more than the other toppings). So we tried this and were delighted when the pizza had a pile of doner on top. Fantastic and just what we were originally expecting. Then, unfortunately, the last (and possibly final) time we ordered, the doner extra topping option was still there, still more expensive than chicken, spicy beef, bacon, chorizo, pulled pork or pepperoni, but came cut up and under the cheese again. At only 50p cheaper than a box full of doner meat, I wasn't impressed so contacted the shop. And this is where they really failed miserably and why I've downgraded my rating: Instead of apologizing and perhaps explaining that they've changed the way they do this topping, the person I spoke to was quite patronising, telling me to look under the cheese and I'd find the doner. I explained that I knew it was there but it was much less than we were expecting and had been given in the past, since the price increase of this extra topping. He then went on to deny that they've ever put the meat on top of the pizza (yeah, clearly I was just imagining that) and that this has always been the way they serve it. Then, as if to rub salt in the wound, he told me that if I'd wanted the meat on top, I should have added a note to the order to that effect (so not only had I imagined it before but it was now my fault for ordering it incorrectly). Not once was there any suggestion of rectifying my complaint, it was simply they were right and we were clearly wrong in their eyes. This left a very sour taste in my mouth and I didn't really enjoy the meal after that. I used to be a big advocate for Dino's, recommending them at every opportunity and even bought food there on many occasions when we had guests. I can't deny that the quality of the food has always been great, but on this occasion the customer service has really let them down and, even a month and a half later, I'm still very annoyed by the attitude. I booked a delivery online and paid for it online to receive a phone call asking for me to pay extra delivery charge. they were insisting that I was over 9 miles from the shop on Google maps. I checked we are exactly 6 miles from the shop and 9 minutes away. so completely robbed. we even measured it in the car. so their £1 a mile is a complete joke. talk about taking a line of people who don't live in the town. To add to this I ordered from Brechin first as we have just moved from Edzell to where we are now and receives deliveries from Brechin Dino's. They accepted the order and took my money the they phoned afterwards saying you need to order from Forfar and your refund could take up to five days. so our meal cost us over £90. What a bloody joke. why not just phone Forfar and transfer the order to them and send them the money. not difficult. absolutely shocking customer service. so...

We ordered from Dinos last week for the first time ever, had a pizza which was absolutely amazing, and I’m not usually a fan of Pizza. We don’t normally get a takeout every week but ordered again today and ordered mixed chicken and lamb shish kebab. OMG. It was best kebab I have ever eaten, meat was juicy and plentiful.
