Awful car park. I cannot begin to describe how bad this car park is.
If your suspension survives the foot deep potholes and you actually get the chance to park, congratulations. Your next challenge is to wedge your car in between two others to the point where nobody but the people on the end of each row can enter or exit their vehicles.
If you make it back to your vehicle and find it without and debts or scrapes, well done. You now have the task of climbing through your boot and making your way to the drivers seat, watch your feet on the upholstery.
Your final challenge is reversing your car out of its space in less than a 20 point turn because the inconsiderate prat in the space over the way has left their bonnet overhanging their bay by a meter.
You cannot park here alone as one of you needs to be outside the car and guiding the driver out, akin to air traffic control.
In short, do not park here and do not give any of your hard earned brass to York Council. They clearly don’t spend a penny on this place and it shows. The whole place needs resurfacing and relining with less,...
Read moreTerrible carpark! Be aware future Parker -uppers... this carpark is in a great location but its awful! Its been made so they can ram as many cars on as possible for maximum profits. the spaces are so tight! Ive never seen anything like it, big 4×4 trying to park in narrow parking spaces, its an accident waiting to happen and i would bet on it theres been a lot of knocks on there, its dangerous and should be reported to whoever can do something about it...And trying to get off this carpark on a weekend is horrendous, took me 30 minutes to get off yesterday as the big truck in front of me decided he wanted to park up, the problem was the car coming out took 6 attempts, we couldnt move back to help the situation as there was 10 cars bumper to bumper trying to get off, if the cars in front are waiting to park you have to wait too as u can't go around as the design of the carpark is just chocker! It's ridiculous, I wouldnt recommend...

You can drive across more holes than the floor of the Roman Colosseum, pick up more stones and bits of debris than in the ancient agora of Athens! Ever wondered how wide a parking space was needed for a Roman to park his chariot? Fret no more! Simply a measure a space here, and you can at least take comfort in knowing that a viking could pitch his horse in this space, but your modern car has no chance in hell. But at least, well, you can take comfort in knowing you learnt...
