Came in for a special meal whilst visiting family (we’d travelled five hours to get here!). We were greeted by a waitress and ordered some drinks, and whilst trying to order starters we asked the odd question, to which we established the waitress had little-to-no menu knowledge. We ended up having beef arancini which was lovely. Our side plates were unfortunately very dirty and covered in food, so these needed swapping twice before we had clean ones. For mains, three out of four of us had Calabrese and one had Capricciosa. The Calabrese were lovely - really fresh, super tasty and just a little bit spicy which added to the overall flavour perfectly. Unfortunately the Capricciosa was soggy and undercooked, and when the waitress came to remove our plates, we mentioned about this and she said ‘oh yes it’s the courgettes, they’re very wet and this pizza is often too soggy!’. Knowing now that they are aware of the issues with this pizza, we asked to speak to someone higher up. Not two minutes later, a gentleman in a chefs coat appeared, and we explained our qualms to him. I have to give him the upmost credit, he handled this issue with complete professionalism, and rectified what had been a very mediocre meal for us. He removed the poor quality pizza from the bill, as well as getting us some complimentary desserts; four portions of Babà. The Babà was absolutely delicious, and really rounded off the meal perfectly. It was lovely to try something I’d never had before, and I’ll definitely seek this dish out again. Thank you to the gentleman who fixed this for us - on this basis alone we’d return to this restaurant and give...

What a wonderful little pizza place!

When we're out and about we do try to support independent business where we can and this little gem is definitely worth a visit. We were lucky enough to nab a table after wandering in and asking if they had a table for later in the evening. It is very popular so booking is very much recommended. There is seating upstairs but be prepared to wait if you haven't planned ahead!

It is only a small menu, though there are specials that you can also try; however I tend to think that those that have smaller menus are usually better quality, which is very much the case here. We tried the alleanza (a 'white' pizza meaning no tomato sauce, we thought that meant the bread flour 😂) and the spicy calabrese. You could tell that the dough was freshly made and the balance of flavours (more subtle in the alleanza, but still delicious) was beautiful. The calabrese was quite spicy but was our favourite by a very small margin! They're not the sort of pizza you could pick up with your hands (so forget anything resembling the chain pizza places) without having issues, but to be honest it's nice to be a bit fancy sometimes!

We would especially recommend having some dessert if you're not too full. The cannoli and rum Baba were quite light and you could again tell that they're freshly made (the owner confirmed that they're made in house).

The staff were lovely and friendly, shout out to Elena for sorting us the table, and were very attentive without...

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend and boy did they know what they’re talking about!! This restaurant is amazing!!

Inside the aesthetics are great the staff are friendly and welcoming and the music was on point. A fantastic pizza menu from a genuine Italian family, even the plates and saucers are decorated by hand in Italy.

The food is amazing, the tiramisu I had was the best ever and I’ve had a lot of them given it’s my favourite dessert. There is ample seating down stairs but if that’s full then there is another bar and loads of seating upstairs also.

The kitchen is open plan to the restaurant so you can see them doing everything, if you sit upstairs you practically have to walk through the kitchen to get there.

We loved everything about this restaurant from the first step inside to the bill which was very reasonable indeed. The wife and I both had a 3 course meal with drinks and it came to just over £50!

They also do take away pizza so if you want to eat and run just rock up and order to take away. There are no steps into the restaurant so to sit on the ground floor I think you’d be fine, I didn’t see a lift for the upstairs though….doesn’t mean there wasn’t one though.

Based on our experience we would certainly recommend, I think you would be mad not to visit! You have to like...
