Dear Management Team, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I recently experienced at your establishment, specifically with the staff member “Duerota” at the front of house. From the outset, the interaction was far from welcoming. After joining the waitlist, I was asked to leave the lounge area and not use the empty indoor bench. Later, while waiting outside by the doorway for over 20 minutes, I was again asked to move further down the hallway, despite there being several unoccupied spaces along the wall. When I inquired why these spaces could not be used, I was given inconsistent explanations about fire exits and occupancy limits. This was particularly confusing, as I have previously been seated in the same area without issue. The lack of clarity suggested either poor communication or insufficient training. Unfortunately, this interaction created an unwelcoming and inhospitable atmosphere. It left me with the impression that the staff member was not adequately prepared for a client-facing role, which reflects poorly on the No1 brand and diminishes the overall customer experience. I hope you take this feedback constructively, as I believe proper training and clearer guidance could greatly improve the experience for future guests.

Because it is brand new, the standard are passably fine; however, food is unimpressive with mixed berries poured into the bowl from a frozen bag, tomatoes straight from the tin (WHO DOES THIS???!!!), powdered scrambled eggs, more English breakfast favourites and that’s pretty much about food, except a couple of small bakeries by the toilet door! Oh, and 2 jars of corn flakes and small jars with condiments sachets on the left side of the buffer. Coffee dispenser only has cow’s milk, so if you can’t have this, you have icy cold soy or oat milk straight from the fridge which you must request. The expresso is undrinkable. The worst coffee by far. Even though it wasn’t busy, there were too many loud conversations. Overall, it is cosy and clean, but no effort to stand out. It is extremely basic to say the least. The bar is a nice addition but it looks more like a barrier to prevent passengers from over drinking. The screen to monitor your flight is at the entrance of the lounge, behind the pillar. Makes no sense. If you part of a lounge scheme it makes sense but if you pay the £25 fee, it is not worth it. I won’t recommend paying for this!

What an utter disappointment and I will never use this lounge again! Staff seem friendly and hard working but the food and drink was pretty underwhelming. Obviously, they don't want people to have too much because it's all served on sandwich plates. There were baked potatoes but everyone knows how dodgy they can be this time of year. The choice was baked potatoes and beans or pulled pork or chilli There seemed to be an adequate supply of salad to have with your baked spud, although the lettuce was a bit brown but where are the bread rolls? There used to be cheese and crackers but not any longer. Apparently it has changed hands as it used to be Aspire lounge. Things were better, with better choices of food and drinks. I would advise anyone who is considering using it to reconsider. Or at least lower one's expectations drastically.

I have always been a loyal supporter of N1 lounges, but my experience this morning at the Luton Airport lounge (15th September 2025, around 8:00 AM) was unacceptable.

Upon arrival, the receptionist wrongly insisted that it was too early for me to check in. I had to remind him that lounge access is permitted within three hours of departure, not 2.5. He then claimed my flight “did not exist” because it wasn’t showing on his screen. Only after I personally pointed out my flight on the monitor did he agree to check me in.

However, immediately after scanning both my Priority Pass and boarding pass, he suddenly told me there was “no space” available and instructed me to leave and try another lounge. I reminded him that I had already been checked in, yet he dismissively told me to “try again in 20 minutes.”

While I was walking away, I witnessed two other individuals arrive without pre-bookings. Despite telling them the lounge was full, the receptionist allowed them in after they aggressively insisted — while I, who had already been properly checked in and was waiting politely as instructed, was refused entry.

This behavior is not only unprofessional but completely undermines the standards that a premium lounge should uphold. What should have been a smooth, premium experience instead felt chaotic, arbitrary, and more like queuing at a street-food stand than accessing a professional business lounge.

An awful and deeply disappointing experience. I expect this to be investigated and for appropriate training or corrective action to be taken with the staff...

Title: Disappointing Experience at Lounge One, Luton Airport – Poor Staff Attitude

I visited Lounge One at Luton Airport on Saturday 5 July and, unfortunately, had an unpleasant experience with a member of staff that left me disappointed and quite surprised, given the setting.

While waiting for my flight, I chose to sit at a quiet table for four near the back of the lounge to enjoy a coffee. A staff member approached me and told me I needed to vacate the table for a group of four — despite no prior notice or explanation of any reservation policy. I politely asked if this was the usual process, but the staff member raised her voice, spoke to me in an abrupt and unprofessional manner, and instructed the group to sit elsewhere, all while ignoring my questions. I felt the tone was unnecessary and made the experience very uncomfortable.

When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. I later learned her name from a colleague, as her badge was not visible. I raised the issue with the on-duty manager, Zack Lacers, who was very professional, polite, and helpful. He explained that complaints could not be formally handled until Monday and suggested I follow up, which I am doing.

I’m sharing this review so management is aware and can ensure all guests receive respectful and courteous treatment. A relaxing lounge experience should not involve being spoken to rudely or made to feel like an inconvenience. I hope the lounge takes feedback like this seriously and provides appropriate customer...

Our recent visit to Luton Airport Lounge 1 was truly a five-star experience, setting the perfect tone for our journey. From the moment we arrived, we were met with outstanding hospitality that made all the difference. Warm Welcome and Friendly Staff: The first impression was made by Andrea, who welcomed us with remarkable friendliness. This warm greeting was indicative of the entire staff's demeanor throughout our stay. Every team member we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist truly stood out. Excellent Food with Thoughtful Options: The food selection was very impressive, offering a nice variety of delicious choices. A particular highlight was the availability of vegetarian sausages, which were cooked fresh upon request and promptly brought directly to our table. This level of personalised service and commitment to dietary needs was greatly appreciated and exceeded our expectations. Overall Impression: The combination of genuinely friendly staff, especially Andrea, and the high quality of food with accommodating vegetarian options, made our time in Luton Airport Lounge 1 truly memorable. We will undoubtedly be booking this lounge again for future travels from Luton. It's a highly recommended oasis of comfort and excellent service amidst the busy airport...
