First time I used S11 I was happy with the end result with misgivings, but second time was definitely the last. On my first visit I asked for my back shoulders & upper arms to be waxed & was charged £42 which was correct according to the price list on their website offering Full back £20, Shoulders £12 & half arms £10. I wasn't overly happy about other people entering & assisting with my waxing without asking If I was OK? comfortable with that & in fact contributed to a lopsided look on my chest as each side had been done by different people. However I was happy with the overall job thought it'll soon grow back & as S11 are the only saloon advertising male waxing in the area put it down to teething problems & I decided to go back for a second visit. It will be my last. At first the waxing was going fine the lady doing it was very professional even if the bed in the room wasn't, no indent for the clients face to go whilst being waxed, instead a dubious looking old bag with unknown material inside soaking up how knows how much drool & making the position very uncomfortable & unhygienic for long periods. After a while the older lady who helps with the running began to audibly chastise the waxing lady to hurry up repeatedly asking how much longer before coming in to start waxing me alongside the original lady clearly to hurry her, she never once asked if I was comfortable with this though in fairness she did knock before coming in. After a few minutes they announced I was done despite my not once having been moved to sit upright or on my front at all I pointed out the front of my shoulders not being done or upper arms the two women then made a petulant once over of the areas in question before walking out leaving me with bits of wax & tissue paper stuck all over the area's in question. I then went to pay & was told £50 despite the website saying £42 It was then I noticed that S11 didn't have a price list on display so asked how he (The owner) had arrived at that price he claimed I had extra bits done which In fact was my request for them to finish the bits they had started namely the front of my Deltoid muscles. A message to the owner on my first visit you charged me correctly £42 & I gave you £50 as a tip to the workers (I'm a polite person) on the second visit you thought you'd seen me coming you were wrong. A message to the workers perhaps ask for a human body diagram showing the various muscle groups where you will clearly see I just wanted what I was paying for I wasn't trying to get anything for nothing.
A message to myself to walk past S11 on my way to the train station to find somewhere I consider more professional one with a price list on display, a massage bed like fit for purpose & staff given sufficient time to complete procedures without clients being made to feel like an...
Read moreYesterday I went for a hot stone massage, I told the lady that I have a bad knee and to be careful she said ok. During the massage she pulled my legs back especially my left knee which has cartilage damage which I told her that I have a bad knee previously. She pulled with so much force that I couldn’t move by leg, straighten it or bend it. When I was leaving the owner asked me how it was I told him I told her that I have bad knee and I’m currently in so much pain, nothing was said by him, no empathy nothing. I struggled to climb the stair to get out of the salon. My pain was so severe that a number of people stopped me to ask if I was ok. I’m still in so much pain that I have had to contact my GP who has prescribed me strong pain relief and asked me to rest for at least a week and it will take weeks to get better. I’m absolutely disgusted with the fact that no acknowledgment was made when I told him about my pain but was quick to take payment before the service is even provided. There’s no customer value it’s all about making money. Businesses run on customer service nothing else. VERY...
Read moreBrilliant Thai full body massage by an absolutely lovely young lady from Romania, who was professional, well spoken, polite, and very skilled in the art of Thai massage. I have never experienced a full Thai massage before...only a Turkish one (2018) & a few holistic ones.. I would certainly have a Thai one again. Certainly value for money. Since having a full knee replacement in March 2019 I was worried that a massage around scarred knee would hurt. It didnt. I was upfront about it from the start which she appreciated. She was gentle, but firm.. there was some discomfort, but that's what you should experience if you are getting a quality massage. She got rid of all those nasty knots and tension through my body. I walked out feeling light and ten foot tall. It was also a clean, lovely, calm and relaxing space. Yes I could hear other people coming and going but it was so easy to switch back off and get into the chill zone. The ambient music was a real treat. Every one was polite, respectful and welcoming. I can not fault the place. I highly...
