Firstly, All high streets ruined it for themselves with greed from car parking charges. We ,as car drivers avoid paying to spend our money. Retail parks with Free parking is where most people will go. We went to Specsavers and had to park here for being the closest. The car park was easy to get in, but could do with better signage for the exit. We were parked for 1 hour 20 minutes and paid £1.50. Not bad, but not free. You can park for free for 1 hour. We’ll try to do that when we pick our glasses up next week. Wellington Square was pretty nice to be fair, roomy and clean. There needs to be some shops though, seemed a bit depressing, with lots of empty, advertising covering shop windows. The bakery was a decent find, but otherwise, it’s fairy forgettable. Boils down to greed again , I suspect the council charge a fortune to the...
Read moreAvoid for the Globe theatre. Wish I’d have read the reviews before parking here. I’ve currently to been sat here for longer than the show was, and I’m still no where near out… could be 2 hours+ to exit. Absolute nightmare with 2 toddlers in the back!
Poorly designed for a carpark where many will arrive and exit at the same time. Cars queuing to get in appear to be blocking cars from getting out and so the whole place is at a stand still! Staff stood around helping people to pay but not move the traffic. Come on man, just open the barriers and get us out of here. Lost the will to live, and definitely lost the buzz I got from a superb show. Boo...
Read moreAfter a Brilliant show at the globe, the exit process was a nightmare. Huge queues for 2 payment machines, so decided to just pay on exit. But having waited nearly 2 hours to exit. This carpark is poorly designed and staff should be directing traffic to keep it moving, rather than standing around like lemons. This has ruined what would have been a great day out. Will definitely not be visiting the Globe theatre again, which is a shame as it seemed like a beautiful theatre, and I would like to have seen other...
