Ok so we took the kids here for a film just befor Christmas so for me the best time to go anywhere as running at high capacity. Well the good points first. The staff were helpful and friendly. Now the not so good stuff the staff were as slow as stop when serving us wow it took the best part of 10 minutes to get everything we needed to go in and the queue was long. Screen 8 we went into was ok. the numbers on the floor that were supposed to light up to show you in the dark What row was what. Most of them had tape holding them down(I was in the last row) our seat was comfortable but there was I little table inbetween mine and my son's seat well let's just say in the light we had it look and felt like stuff was growing on it and I would not put anything we took in on it. It was grossly under cleaned. Now in my mind that was now the worst thing about the cinema that day as screen 8 at the very top left hand side there is like a little box with one or two seats on there own and I don't know what this is for but. As we were at a child film and there was a lone older male sitting in there I found this creepy as hell. So watched the final and on the way out some of the kids wanted the toilet well all I can say about them is don't use them go to the centre's own toilets as the ones in the cinema did not even meet my worst cinema toilet standards. So we left and went to the centre's toilet. Won't be back until the place has had a deep...

I went to see the Thor movie today at 2 15 pm showing , I was a bit disappointed I had to tract down a member of staff to get the 3 d glasses , once I got them the movie was already 10 mins in . 25 mins into the movie these group of youngsters came in and went up the back of cinema making such a disrupted the movie to the point we all had to tell them to shut up and they ignore us and giving has abused , a another customer went to tract down a manger to get them removed because they started smoking , it was such a disappointed experience , I hate youngsters how they managed to get in I will never know , they trashed all the toilets has well , blocking them and spilled juice and popcorn all over the toilets floors , this un expectable behaviour and nothing seemed to get sorted out , they also turned on and of the lights too . We did complain nothing seemed to work . Smoking and youngsters should not be allowed in has it’s terrible to throughs like me who live going to the movies , I would like my money back and vouchers has a matter of respect and and has a good...

Positives : Popcorn Great sound system Comfortable seating Good service Affordable

Cons (Worth reading) : Staff clearly have volume control, which they should not, due to them not understanding how sound exposure works. They clearly set a volume before the movie starts not taking into account the type of movie etc. This can be a bother for people with sensitive hearing and even people with normal hearing as they could suffer hearing injury from being exposed to anything over 85dB for a long period of time (such as a movie)... Hopefully vue see this review and change their practices on this by simply playing all their screens at below 85db. We don't need extremely loud sounds to experience dolby atmos.. You can read all about sound exposure and inform yourself on safe exposure levels directly from the world health organisations website

In my opinion with this issue addressed I would never hesitate to reccomend vue cinema to anybody due to all the positives...

Tickets for movies became cheaper, but still in cinema wasn't even half full. Prices for popcorn, drinks were high, but now are even more expensive. Only cinema in Livi and I hope it will survive turbulent time. My advice is to visit, by something over counter to support the place, rest food or drinks, bring with you.....for example, cauliflower crisps!!

Theatre 5 is looking a bit tired in places. Needs investment. Affordable tickets and good range of soft and alcoholic drinks as well as hot and cold food. Unfortunately the decoration and peeling wall paper of the cinema lets it down badly. Would rather pay slightly more and visit the Odeon Luxe a few junctions along the M8 in Edinburgh

Usually quite always walk straight in great seats at a great price. Go quite regularly now, multi storey parking with plenty of spaces. So sheltered from car to cinema seat. Perfect location.
