Had an amazing time here. Kind’a new what to expect as we’ve been to the Bury one.
Very easy to find as it’s in Kirkstall, Abbey Retail Park. There are a number of spaces outside but this is limited. It is free to park but you need to get a pass from the desk.
Prices are £8 child, £16 adult, £40 month pass. Food is also available at the bar ranging from burgers to a selection of nachos and are between £3-£5. If you order food they give you a little buzzer that alerts you when your order is ready to collect. I had the Classic Cheese Burger and Pizza Nachos and both were delish for the price and was an ample serving.
Each floor is accessed by stairs but a wheelchair lift is also available. At can be tight getting through the cabinets but you can always ask for assistance.
The main floor consists of the bar, a few pinball machines, single/dual racing machines, shooting games, Japanese music machines, beat’em ups and a few randoms.
The 1st floor contains all the pre-2000 standup arcades like Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, Asteroids, Pong, R-Type, Puzzle Bobble...
The 2nd floor are where the PC systems are setup as a LAN/multiplayer, 2 VR units, a large screen Switch layout, consoles including N64 and Megadrive. There are also two additional rooms on this floor, one for Minecraft/Fortnight and another for competitions. They have said that this floor will change for a better layout, more systems and a separate VR section.
I would recommend only going in something light as it can get hot on the 1st floor. Especially the 2nd floor where the A/C wasn’t working properly.
All in all a great day out with my friends. A must for anyone and this is only the first week it’s...
Read moreIt was a great day out experience for my birthday, with my 2 irl non binary college friends plus me. All 3 of us had an absolute blast playing all the retro games plus modern stuff, even though it was busy and noisy but didn’t ruin my experience.
We played over 10+ games in a span of 5 hrs and 30 mins, and the 3 of us finished The Simpsons Arcade Game for the first time which was my childhood game. 1 of my friend was so obsessed with the Dance Dance Resolution, and I absolutely loved the Crazy Taxi and Tetris machines.
After we finished The Simpsons Arcade Game, we had lunch in the cafe. Staff/Service 10/10 Food/Drinks 10/10 The order went really perfect which I ordered a garlic pizza bread with no cheese, my friend they ordered a classic hotdog with everything on it they wanted, and my other friend they ordered a pepperoni pizza. After we placed our order, it was cool they use a number buzzer thing which when the buzzer goes on, then you go for your food which was a neat idea they do I was impressed and didn’t take long for the food to be ready.
The food was amazing and didn’t expect the hotdog came with tortilla chips included, got to say for the price you pay for food and drinks I’m so impressed of.
After our lunch we continued playing more arcade games, then me and my non binary they and me took a picture of the Sonic statue in a goofy 0.5 camera which was funny as heck.
Then we ended our day of my friend they tried out the VR and I played Super Monkey Ball. Plus ended with we tried out the gaming pcs and we both played Among Us.
I would absolutely love to go back again in the future with my friends again since there is more to try out, or at...
Read moreSo disappointed!! I’ve given 2 stars. One for how lovely all the staff were and two because the food and drinks were super affordable. We came at about 2pm on a Saturday and were told we’d have to book online for the 5pm-11pm slot as they were full. That was fine. We went off for 3 hours to pass the time. Came back at 5 and the place was absolutely packed. My partner is severely partially sighted and navigating him around the place was near to impossible. People weren’t moving when asking them politely to let us through and the music was that loud we were struggling to hear each other. The VR was charging and was told to come back at 7:30. We did and the queue was ridiculous so didn’t get to experience that. All the arcade games on the ground floor were impossible to get on because the place was overbooked and once people got a chance to get on one they wanted, they obviously played for quite a while. There wasn’t one light on other than the light coming from the games and this makes walking around with RP (eye disease) impossible without a carer. I don’t normally get as frustrated with this as we understand that the world doesn’t know much about eye disabilities but with it being so packed, it was just a nightmare. SO many games we didn’t get to play on and left at 7:45 after walking round in circles over and over again. £68 for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and it was a complete waste of money. The owners clearly prioritise money by getting as many people in as possible leaving no real chance to play on anything. Won’t be returning which is a shame because it sounded super fun and would’ve loved to have found a place to...
